Northlands Cottage is a delightful first floor abode within the owners grounds situated in the South Hams village of Brixton.
Completely separate from the main house, this spacious and modern holiday home is secured by electric gates with a coded pedestrian side gate for an extra sense of security.
The cottage is ideal for a couple wishing to explore this beautiful and tranquil part of the country.
From the large entrance hall which makes an ideal area for walking boots or surfboards, internal stairs rise up to the first floor accommodation, which feels light, homely and welcoming.
The open plan living room has large bi-fold windows which open out to reveal the glorious surrounding countryside and gives a sense of being amongst nature with its bird song and fresh air.
The king-size bedroom looks south over the front garden.
Outside, the cottage has a small sunny courtyard that provides a quiet and private seating area to relax with a drink after a days walking, sightseeing or beachcombing.
The village is a short stroll from Northlands Cottage where there is a good pub, shop, restaurant, fish and chip shop and easy access to some fabulous walks, in particular along the Erme-Plym Trail following the beautiful estuary and Cofflete Creek.
In this South Hams area, visitors really are spoilt for choice of popular sandy beaches, including Bovisand and Wembury, the latter being a National Trust treasure renowned for rock pooling, or Jennycliff with a well-known café having spectacular views across Plymouth Sound.
For anyone who can tear themselves away from this idyllic location, the charming towns of Modbury, Salcombe and Kingsbridge are all close by, whilst Plymouth, Dartmouth and the wild open spaces of Dartmoor are also all within easy reach.
With a variety of activities for walkers and beach lovers, Northlands Cottage is a fabulous romantic stay for two.
