windsurfing; not to mention safe bathing, so it's great for
families too. And there's the added bonus of being able to rent
a beach hut, by the day or week, so you have a place to stash all
those beach belongings. Well known surf beaches are just a short
drive away, including Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth).
Come summer, Abersoch is a very trendy place to be and the
restaurants, pubs and shops buzz as holidaymakers and second home
owners flock to the resort. Do book early for annual events like
the Jazz Festival, Sailing Regatta and Wakestock, a wakeboarding
and music extravaganza.
Enjoy the breathtaking countryside of the Llyn horse-riding,
playing golf or walking along the Coastal Path. Or join a fishing
or seal spotting trip around the islands in the bay. Take advantage
of the 'Grab a Bus' service and visit one of the many local
attractions such as the Ffestiniog Railway or Plas Yn Rhiw, owned
by The National Trust.
