Most tourists bypass the Rame Peninsula, not realising they've missed out on Cornwall's 'Forgotten Corner' - a truly delightful spot for a relaxing holiday whatever the time of year. Make your base one of our Antony holiday cottages, around three miles west of Torpoint.

Visit Antony House, home of the Carew Pole Family and protected by the National Trust. Step inside the splendid, grey-stone mansion for wonderful collections of textiles, furniture and art. Trace the steps of Alice, the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat as you explore the sweeping grounds, noting topiary, sculptures and the National Collection of Daylilies. Or sit awhile on the terrace and soak up the estuary views. Next stop the Antony Woodland Garden (privately owned) for amazing displays of camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons and azaleas. And then, perhaps, the country estate and deer park at Mount Edgcumbe.
Circling buzzards, kestrels and peregrines; the rare sight of a Dartford Warbler; the Little Egret and lots more - an Antony holiday home is ideal for anyone with a passion for wildlife, not to mention art and photography. So feel free to bring along binoculars, tripod or canvas.
What else? Sit on a rock and hook mackerel, pollock and bass. Play golf, set sail, ride a horse or step out on the coastal path, breaking for lunch in Kingsand or Cawsand. Hit the sensational 4-mile scoop of sands at Whitsand Bay. Or hop on the ferry to Plymouth for bumper, big city attractions.
So much for everyone when you book a holiday cottage in Antony!
