If whisky is your tipple, make note that the Isle of Islay produces a considerable number of the world's finest malts.
Walking in Argyll is fantastic. Explore the Argyll Forest Park; follow the West Highland Way or Lowland Highland Trail; head to The Trossachs or the Ochil Hills for serious hill walking; or to the Isle of Jura for mesmerising island views. Other forms of recreation include horse-riding, sailing, fishing, cycling and golf.
