Kids will love this fantastic event taking place at The World of Beatrix Potter™ in beautiful Bowness-on-Windermere. You’ll be treated to a party lunch with Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and ‘Beatrix Potter’ as the guest of honour! Kids will enjoy the story telling, cakes and opportunity to explore the whole World of Beatrix Potter™, they’ll also be given a free present as well!

Geocaching is the new trend of high tech treasure hunting, combining both the traditional thrill of treasuring hunting with the accuracy of GPS; don’t worry though despite having GPS, it can be just as challenging and enjoyable as ever!
Even better news, the Lake District National Park is holding an introductory session exploring the new trendy sport of Geocaching, so you can get top tips from the experts. Details of the session are given below. Geocaching is something to be enjoyed by young and old and is especially fun for families to take part in.

If you’re visiting the Lake District then why not experience the excitement of watching sheep dog trials. Popular events with both locals and tourists, they give visitors an opportunity to watch a traditional technique demonstrated by experienced hands, which is effective but also enchanting and entertaining as well.
The show also has a range of stands offering tempting local delicacies, unique fashion articles and other traditional Cumbrian specialities. The catering tent uses local produce to produce some truly tasty treats, so why not experience both a pastime of Cumbria and some fantastic foods at the same time?
