Falmouth

The maritime town of Falmouth offers loads of things to do for both adults and families, with a wealth of attractions like the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Trebah Gardens, and regular sailing events. The town also prides itself on its local produce – particularly its seafood – and its selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs certainly won’t disappoint. The River Fal offers visitors a huge selection of outdoor activities, from walking and cycling to sailing and kayaking.

Looe and Polperro

The picturesque town of Looe and nearby Polperro village thrive on fishing. A must-visit for foodies, the choice of cafes and restaurants offering local produce is extensive. The sandy beaches are the perfect location for a family day out by the sea, while the sea itself offers boating, snorkelling and a wealth of other water sports.

Truro

 

Cornwall’s only city combines culture, attractions, art galleries, shopping and a huge array of Cornish eateries and pubs. Wander around the compact and cosmopolitan city centre and be sure to visit Truro Cathedral and the Royal Cornwall Museum for an insight into Cornish heritage.

St Austell

The large town of St Austell and nearby St Austell Bay are firm family favourites. Head to the Bay for water sports and days out on the sandy beach, explore the surrounding area via the many cycling and walking trails, and visit the town itself for shopping and dining. Nearby attractions include the famous Eden Project.
