High hopes for the British contingent

Fresh from his victory at the Queen’s Club last weekend and his appearance in the Centre Court final in 2012, Andy Murray will be looking to add the Wimbledon trophy to his US Open crown which he gained last year.  Keen tennis fans will also be keeping an eye on Jonathan Marray, last year’s victor in the men’s doubles, who returns to the lawned courts of SW19 to defend his title.  In the women’s half of the draw, young British hopes Laura Robson and Heather Watson will be pitting themselves against big hitters Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams as they fight for the Wimbledon crown.

No ticket? No problem!

If you didn’t manage to bag yourself a ticket in this year’s ballot, not to worry!  There are plenty of ways to keep up with every serve, challenge and rain delay wherever you are.  The BBC website is a great place to start with fantastic coverage on TV and online throughout the competition.  To get closer to the action, why not pack up your strawberries and cream and head to one of the big screens up and down the country.  With Bristol, Swansea, Swindon and Oxford just some of the places featuring a big screen this summer, you’ll never be too far away from watching Murray and co in style.
