Thinking about taking a holiday in September 2012? September is a fantastic time for a holiday! Although it may seem that the holiday season is essentially over, September is actually the perfect time to take a holiday. Once the autumn school term begins and the nation’s children head back into the classroom, the tourist crowds disappear and there are some amazing discounted holidays to be had! So what are you waiting for?

Fall off the deck

This August has been one of the wettest and coldest in recent years. September’s weather is said to be much more promising, if the early weather forecast is anything to go by. Cast your mind back to the heat wave that we enjoyed at the end of last September- fingers crossed for the same again this year! September is a great chance to take a holiday and catch some late summer sunshine before the days get shorter, the leaves start falling off the trees and we have to dig our winter coats out of our wardrobes. Some late summer sunshine and steady temperatures will do just nicely.

Going on holiday in September makes great economic sense too! Because there is less demand, the price of September holidays is often significantly less than taking a trip in the peak summer season. Take a look at the cottages in the Sykes Autumn Sale for example. Plus if you haven’t yet booked your trip, you may be able to take advantage of a fantastic last minute deal on your holiday cottage!
