Lavender has been grown in England for centuries and is reputed to be some of the best in the world. There are a number of Lavender farms throughout the UK, many of which are happy to welcome visitors to learn about the process of growing, harvesting, and distilling lavender, as well as offering the opportunity to walk the fields and be bathed in the intoxicating lavender scent.

Depending on the weather, the lavender in England is generally beginning to bloom from early to mid-June, with harvesting starting in mid-July. Can you think of a more perfect way to spend a summer afternoon while on holiday in the Cotswolds than wandering through lavender fields? I sure can’t!
