Our Ashbourne Travel Guide includes… Places to stay, things to do and how to get to Ashbourne

Ashbourne lies in a fantastic location, bordering the Peak District National Park. It’s a great base from which to explore the stunning, unspoilt countryside which surrounds the area. Known for its stunning architecture, Ashbourne has over 200 listed buildings, as well as many buildings with Georgian-era design.

The town also has excellent shopping facilities, with interesting market stalls and quirky boutiques, as well as a host of eateries and pubs to enjoy eating and drinking in. Discover the vast reservoir of Carsington Water, one of the town’s most popular attractions that makes for a wonderful day out, either on foot or perhaps by taking a scenic boat ride along the water.

One of the most popular events of the year takes place every June and July, when the town hosts its own festival, attracting lots of tourists and showcasing comedians, artists, musicians and more.
