Stroll along the High Street lined with impressive 17th and 18th Century architecture, taking time to call in at hidden alleyways and secluded courtyards. Discover alluring shops and galleries showcasing antiques, art, gifts, stylish clothing and other luxury goods. Pick up tempting produce at the local deli ready for lazy suppers in your Burford cottage. Or treat yourself to a meal at one of the many ancient hostelries or restaurants - after all, you are on holiday!
Be sure to visit St. John the Baptist Church, rated one of the country's finest with almost cathedral-like proportions and featuring a treasure trove of beautiful artefacts. Do also call in at the Tolsey Museum, a pay-point for collecting tolls during Tudor times and today displaying an assortment of rare exhibits from the town's intriguing past.
