There’s a lovely outdoor area when the weather is good and French windows to look through when it is not. The cottage is well laid out and well fitted out with everything you could need. It is clean and comfortable. All in all, it is just the perfect holiday retreat.

We were met with fields full of sheep and lots of little lambs right outside our door. The cottage had everything we needed and the view was stunning. John and Sally were so welcoming and on hand if we needed anything. We had great weather which was a bonus for all the lovely walks from our doorstep. The cafe in the village which was 10 minutes walk had gorgeous homecooked food. Would definitely recommend staying here.

  • "Fabulous location, so peaceful, extremely well equipped - unlike many places, the kitchen had everything you'd need to self-cater."

There were two drying rails - again something often missing in holiday lets. It's as if the owners had lived in this cottage first and worked out what was needed to make it perfect. Owner friendly. Very good pub serving excellent food (at a good price) about 10 - 15 min walk. We loved this so much we will be back next year ! The only thing that wasn't perfect were the pillows - these were strangely lumpy. Would recommend bringing your own (that's what we'll do next time). I created a YouTube video of Edale and surroundings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVl8vZO43co

Thank you for your comments! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Hathaway Cottage, and so happy to hear you made the most of the peaceful location! The pillows have now been replaced at the property to ensure the comfort of future bookings. Property Owner

We enjoyed even when we were in the Christmas break even in the winter season which we did not expect. We were received very well by the owners and given all the instructions we needed. The owners were really helpful in suggesting locations to visit. The location was outstanding as the rear door of the cottage opened to the landscape and hills. We love to go back in the summer time to explore more.
