The property is ideal for our family with three older children to entertain, but is equally equipped for families with younger children. The snug/games room is a brilliant addition to give separate living space for different groups in the party. The owners were very welcoming without being intrusive which is very much appreciated when staying in a property where the owners are on site. All round an excellent property and lovely owners.

The bedrooms were a good size, especially the master bedroom. The landing at the top of the stairs was wonderful.Big enough for our little granddaughter to run around in.She didn't know where to go first! The living/dining room was spacious with lovely views, through large windows,of the surrounding countryside. The garden was lovely, with a swing which our granddaughter loved and a picnic table in.If the weather had been better, our host told us we could have used their barbecue too. (We met over the fence one morning and had a long chat.)She was very friendly and helpful. As I contacted Kim before we arrived, a stairgate was already in situ and a highchair was in the dining room ready to use. Kim has thought of everything. In the large porch you enter the property through was a washing machine, large airer, hoover, broom etc. When we arrived there were fresh homemade scones, jam and clotted cream with some milk in the fridge. It really was a home from home.If we ever go to Bude again we'll certainly try to book No.39bude again! Wonderful!

39 Bude was just right for us. Our family group included young people with an active lifestyle, a young child and a dog. We were able to easily access interesting walks along the canal and river bank. There were alternative walkable routes into the town centre and to the beaches and we enjoyed these too. The property itself was spacious.....probably more spacious than we anticipated with its large entrance porch (great for the pushchair and bikes), wide stairway and sizeable landing. We made good use of the garden too. The weather was good so we were able to sit outside. We were made welcome on arrival and the owner was available throughout our stay. Hairdryers were also available in the bedroom. There were two roomy off road car spaces available which was a bonus as this is not always the case when staying in Bude. The games room was a real hit for my great nephew who made his 'base camp' in there. About the location

BUDE

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
