  • "The view is the selling point for this property, and it certainly is a 'lovely view'."

Everything was spotless, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, I would have just liked the furniture to be more complimentary with the age of the property, but that is just my choice, otherwise perfect. A little awkward at the second landing with the two doors, and the outside space could be turned into a courtyard setting space, but at the moment it didn't feel welcoming enough to sit out there. I would definitely book this property again though. :)

  • "Absolutely fabulous!"

Gadlys House, Beau View is a fantastic holiday base. The furnishings and space was perfect. As we walked upstairs, it smelt clean. Good start. Then looking around the apartment we could see attention to detail was superb. Simple things like hooks for towels, cling film, foil, bin bags, tea towels etc etc. The welcome pack and milk was a lovely touch, thank you. The bed was comfortable and with good quality linen ( maybe a mattress protector would be a good idea ) The view was amazing, one could spend many an hour sat watching the ever changing vista. We will be back.

Thank you for your lovely review. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the missing mattress protector, we do have one for each bed along with spares, I can only think the Housekeepers missed this on this occasion, we do pride ourselves on being well equipped and having quality beds, linen and towels, so can only apologise for the oversight with the missing mattress protector. So pleased you said you will be back and I trust you will have another good stay and enjoy the apartment and amazing view from the window once again. Property Owner

  • "Lovely flat, clean and cosy and generally well equipped with everything needed."

Really appreciated the welcome pack too, very nice. Not having oven gloves and kitchen towels quite a nuisance though, shame about it. Perhaps a pair of silicone oven gloves could be acquired for the property? They don't cost much more than regular fabric ones, but are much easier to clean and maintain. Or even fabric ones, after all they can be thrown in the wash at the end, ready for the next visitors? Ditto for a pair of kitchen towels. Also, it would have been good to know more about the lack of parking and nearby options/availability from the onset - information was not given until after booking and paying for the property and it was somewhat incomplete.

Thank you for taking time to give feedback. We always supply both oven gloves and tea towels usually placed next to the oven, plus we also supply a roll of quality kitchen towel which should also have been there, all I can think of (as this would have been one of the busiest changeover weekends of the year, Easter Bank Holiday)) is that the housekeepers forgot to put them out on this occasion, and if you had mentioned it at the time, the housekeepers would have returned to provided them for you…. for these being forgotten on this occasion I can only apologise. I agree about pre informing guests about the lack of parking generally in Beaumaris and therefore the alternatives ie the wonderful parking on the Green, that is why it has always been on the details page when viewing the apartment before you book, so that you are fully aware, it is in the extra things to note at the bottom of the page, sorry you must have overlooked this. We are also sorry that for these minor things in the scheme of such quality accommodation that you scored us so badly, as it will now take a lot of time for us to build our rating back up. The facilities are second to none. Everything you need and so comfortable. The views are amazing. A much appreciated welcome pack when we arrived. The apartment is so near all the shops and restaurants it made our holiday. We parked on the Green for the week which was so easy and we covered the whole of Angelsey. We had a beach day, called in all the lovely coves. Went to Sea Zoo and a boat trip to Puffin Island. Loved Beamaris. Would thoroughly recommend the apartment.

Very clean and had everything we needed and more.Heating came on when the temperature dropped slightly and no fiddling about with boiler controls.Showers were brilliant: plenty of hot water which goes along way with holiday homes and hotels. We were 4 friends [over 65yrs] the bunk beds were a little small for an adult but we managed fine and the telly in the room made up for it.We did have an issue with the twin room onsuite sliding door, it was difficult to close shut because of the runner and once in there,on one occasion,I became stuck for 15 mins till friends heard me shouting.I'm sure this will be fixed.Parking was fine due to restrictions don't apply after 15th Sept.Parked by the colourful houses.Views are unbelievable.

  • "Our week at Gadlys House replaced a month-long trip to India, which clearly, due to its red-listing, didn’t happen."

We were extremely fortunate to enjoy amazing weather, with temperatures reflecting those we may have experienced in India but without the humidity! This property exceeded our expectations and we felt that photos did not do justice to the views enjoyed from nearly all apartment windows. Our views over Snowdonia, however, were probably enhanced by the clarity of light during the fabulous weather enjoyed. Appliances, including the Bluetoothed bathroom mirrors, were all very contemporary and particularly enjoyed by the 20 somethings in our party. The three bedrooms very well suited our party of three adults. I would thoroughly recommend this property and beautiful town. Beaumaris was fabulous and reminded me of a quieter version of St Ives, Cornwall.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
