  • "Excellent accommodation, very comfortable."

Good location. We were lucky enough to have superb weather for all of our stay, unfortunately this meant that the bungalow got extremely hot especially at night. Some fans would have been appreciated. Also there were no sun loungers as shown on the listing. I would like to thank the owners and Claire from the Sykes Cottages team for their excellent response when I reported damage to the decking. I was contacted by maintenance within the hour and the decking was fixed the same day.

  • "We had a comfortable stay, the house is spacious and we enjoyed the garden in the sunshine."

Communication with the owner was not great, we sent a message about the facilities available the week before we arrived but did not receive a response until after we had left. The shower would not drain so my husband investigated and found it full of hair and cleared it out himself, it was then fine but it would be good if this was maintained between guests. We also recommend taking your own toilet roll as there was less than a full roll in the house which only lasted 24 hours with six of us.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at Encillion. Apologies that I did not respond to your text message however I was away on holiday myself and did not have access to Wi-Fi. I am sure if you had contacted Menai Holidays they would have been able to assist you or you could have also rang my number but unfortunately I received no call. I am sad to hear the shower was not draining, if we had known about it our housekeeper would have been round and sorted it. After your visit she kindly did extra hours to sort the shower out, fix the tie back that had been come off the wall and left on the side and washed the towels and bedding twice to remove the fake tan. Thank you for your recommendation regarding guests taking toilet roll, I think sometimes our guests forget that we advertise our “comfortable and spacious” accommodation as you mentioned as self catering and such items are not provided. We hope you enjoyed your stay and thank you once again for visiting our lovely home. Property Owner

  • "I had to sort out the boiler to get hot water myself."

It is way more than 5 minuets walk from the beach and tough going also.

Thank you for your feedback. We did not realise you had no hot water until you rang us, however when my husband spoke with you on the phone you seemed more than happy to assist in turning the tap on the system to put pressure back into the boiler. This would have been a 4-5 hour round trip for us to come and sort and we really appreciate your help in undertaking this 30 second job and hope it didn’t affect your stay with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay apart from this minor hiccup and thank you for your review. Property Owner

  • "When we arrived at the property (4pm) the cleaners were still there and we had to wait in our car until they had finished."

This was disappointing as there are 6 hours between the departure time and the check in time. (Also the cleaners had their children in their car and it was a very hot day). Once inside the property we found that there were no keys to open up the patio doors and had to wait until replacements were brought (this should be something that is checked prior to each guest arriving) The property was nicely decorated and was much bigger than the photos show. The outside was lovely and it was nice to have quality garden furniture. The location of the property is good as it is only a 10min walk to the beach. There was a bottle of wine left in the kitchen -not sure if it was for us but as it had been opened we had to throw the contents away. The biggest disappointment for us was the cleanliness of the property. The toilet and toilet brush were not clean, and I had to clean the mat in the shower. The floors had not been hoovered properly as there was lots of dust under the furniture – I don’t think they had been mopped either. The bedding did not smell fresh and we had to clean the crockery and cutlery in the dishwasher before we could use it. Overall this could be a really good property if the cleaning was brought up to a better standard.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at our lovely home. I appreciate there are 6 hours between check out and check in however the islanders on Anglesey do struggle a little for work and unfortunately our house is not the only house they clean on a Friday, they actually clean 5 other houses on this day. I have spoken with James our housekeeper who is absolutely devastated regarding your comments about his children. His girls often come with him and his wife in the school holidays through there choice, they have food and drink provided for them and the windows were open on there vehicle. They are not babies and had been coming and going into our property like they usually do each Friday but on this particular day decided to sit in the car. What this has got to do with your holiday stay with us and the review you have left we are not quite sure. With regards to the keys, you rang me at 1615 and I arranged for James our housekeeper to come back straight away which he did before 5pm. I am not sure what more we could have done under the circumstances. I was away in Greece at the time and I am upset myself at the review you have left as you were laughing and joking with me on the phone when I rang you approximately 3 times to keep you updated as to what I had arranged, I honestly thought we had gone above and beyond to assist you. All our floors are mopped and hoovered after each visiting guests. The property although a bungalow is quite big and we apologise if when you looked under the sofa you saw a bit of dust. We always have clean bedding and as you say you were waiting outside in your car you would have seen James taking the dirty bedding out to drop off to the cleaners. I am so sorry that our holiday home did not live up to your expectations but as you can see from our 5 star reviews this has not been an issue for us before. Thank you once again for staying with us and I hope regardless of a few minor issues you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

  • "Very good property - initially spoiled by very limited toilet tissue being provided I suspect what was left from previous tenant - for a property in this price range I would have expected at least one full roll if not more - to have to visit a shop immediately to purchase tissue was an irritation."

Problem with handing keys over at end of holiday - we followed instructions to the letter , but received three phone calls on our way home suggesting that the keys for the patio windows could not be found. The owner reluctantly appeared to accept our explanation. Suggest the owner reviews the procedures. The above should not detract from what was an excellent holiday in a very good house which provided for all our needs and I have no hesitation in recommending the property to anyone looking for a property in Anglesey.

Thank you for your response and apologies a full loo roll had not been left, it must have been an oversight by our housekeeper and hopefully this does not cause too much distress. We were unable to find the keys and had to get new ones made but no worries we sorted it out, we have never had any issues in the past with our procedures as far as I am aware as all our guests have always been more than happy with them, thank you though once again for visiting our lovely home. • "This is a super bungalow in a fantastic location and very peaceful."

The property is extremely comfortable, very well equipped and is bigger than looks. I struggle to find a property where I can take my elderly mum who has mobility issues but Encillion was great. To assist in making it even more accessible a toilet frame or movable handle next to it would be helpful. A little gem I would recommend.

Thank you for the positive feedback. The bungalow isn’t advertised as disable friendly however with the ramp into the bungalow and all the other amenities I hope you enjoyed your stay. Had we of known you needed extra requirements we may have been able to source them for you Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at the accommodation and a great location however on close inspection I was not happy as the cleanliness of the bungalow, the main front door had black finger prints on the inside and the door it self was very dirty, the middle bedroom bedside lamps were very dusty, the dressing table the middle key hole part where you sit the inside of this hadn't been cleaned for some time, on the wardrobe was still a coffee stain."

In the smaller bedroom in one on the draws we found an unused sanitary pad and a clothes label down the side of the bed. In the kitchen I had to clean down the door fronts as they were finger prints near the door handles, the blue sofa in the dining area had sand on from previous visitors. I found surfaces in other areas could have done with a good clean. So overall was disappointed with all of the above. After saying this we all enjoyed our holiday

So sorry you had a few hiccups however I see your stay exceeded your expectations. Thank you for your positive feedback Property Owner

It was so clean when we arrived and beautifully furnished - a real home from home. And the welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch. The beds were very comfortable, we all slept very well. We loved the sunny garden - my boys played swingball every evening and we enjoyed some sunny lunchtimes. The view was very relaxing when sat in the lounge too. All in all a fabulous cottage and we will come and stay again!

Encillion is an immaculately presented rental property, on entry it has an immediate ‘wow’ factor and we certainly couldn’t find fault, it’s location is very quiet yet only a five minute walk into Benllech with the convenience of a petrol station (with convenience store) only a two minute walk away, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and recommend this little gem Barry, Yvette & Dennis (the staffy)

  • "Encillion is located in a very convenient location."

Access to village facilities, beach and roads to other visitor attractions is a big plus. The bungalow is extremely comfortable, very well equipped and clean. All add to a relaxing ‘feel’. The decor has a nautical /seaside theme which again enhances the ‘feel’. The outside decking with BBQ,seating, table and sun beds were very welcome on several sunny afternoons. The bungalow has an extensive supply of indoor games and books, tv and dvd( as yet not connected). Plenty of tourist leaflets and some local takeaway adverts. All in all an excellent choice during our week’s break on Anglesey.
