Benllech has a beautiful long and sandy beach, much favoured by families, with a slipway allowing easy access for all. A variety of shops and cafes front the beach with a picnic area to the side, whilst the town centre offers more shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants. The setting promises to suit every taste, with the town itself ideal for family holidays, whilst the rural setting offers peace and easy access to the coast, rural Anglesey and of course the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
Benllech 2.5 miles. This superb, detached, Georgian-style farmhouse, which dates back to 1843, stands at the end of a long drive in 3.5 acres of private land with its own fenced wildlife pond, 2.5 miles from Benllech Beach on the northern coast of Anglesey. This Benllech cottage offers quality accommodation for friends and families, including five great-sized bedrooms, a sitting room with woodburner, and a larger, first floor sitting room with wood panels and exposed beams, offering views over the rear garden. The kitchen is well-appointed, with a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and large breakfast table. However, the real focal point of this Benllech cottage must be the “medieval banquet hall”, seating up to 18, with its large woodburner, slate floor, exposed beams and picture window running the length of the room. There is also a games room with pool table and chess table. Outside this Benllech cottage is an enclosed, part walled garden and ample parking. A large garage provides covered storage for watercraft and mountain bikes. Benllech offers numerous bars and restaurants as well as its Blue Flag safe sandy beach, or boat launching from the yacht club at Treath Bychan. Just a short drive from this Benllech cottage you will find historic castles at Beaumaris and Caernarfon, or the Snowdonia National Park. Previous visitors' comments about Plas Pwll Melyn:
We had a great time at Plas Pwll Melyn, the family really enjoyed it. We had a 60th birthday party and everybody liked the medieval banquet hall, it was the main attraction of the property, although the rest of the rooms
were also nicely done, clean and cosy. The location is beautiful and
peaceful even our dog loved the place.
Thank you for the welcome hamper pack which everybody enjoyed for breakfast.
Mrs Gill, Hayes, March 2012
The property was absolutely fantastic. We loved it and the fact we could take 3 dogs. Plenty of wood for the fire so we could keep warm. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful cottage.
Mrs Clark, Keighley, February 2012
Fantastic house, plenty of space for all the family. The woodburners were fabulous and the children loved them. It was the middle of no where but close enough to amenities if you choose to use them.
Ms Morris, Worcester, January 2012
The log burning fires and the endless supply of logs was brilliant. The space within the cottage was fantastic for large groups or families.
