Red Wharf Bay 1.5 miles.
Benllech has a beautiful long and sandy beach, much favoured by families, with a slipway allowing easy access for all. A variety of shops and cafes front the beach with a picnic area to the side, whilst the town centre offers more shops, pubs, hotels and restaurants. The setting promises to suit every taste, with the town itself ideal for family holidays, whilst the rural setting offers peace and easy access to the coast, rural Anglesey and of course the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
Benllech 2.5 miles. This superb, detached, Georgian-style farmhouse, which dates back to 1843, stands at the end of a long drive in 3.5 acres of private land with its own fenced wildlife pond, 2.5 miles from Benllech Beach on the northern coast of Anglesey. This Benllech cottage offers quality accommodation for friends and families, including five great-sized bedrooms, a sitting room with woodburner, and a larger, first floor sitting room with wood panels and exposed beams, offering views over the rear garden. The kitchen is well-appointed, with a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams and large breakfast table. However, the real focal point of this Benllech cottage must be the “medieval banquet hall”, seating up to 18, with its large woodburner, slate floor, exposed beams and picture window running the length of the room. There is also a games room with pool table and chess table. Outside this Benllech cottage is an enclosed, part walled garden and ample parking. A large garage provides covered storage for watercraft and mountain bikes. Benllech offers numerous bars and restaurants as well as its Blue Flag safe sandy beach, or boat launching from the yacht club at Treath Bychan. Just a short drive from this Benllech cottage you will find historic castles at Beaumaris and Caernarfon, or the Snowdonia National Park. Previous visitors' comments about Plas Pwll Melyn:
The cottage was absolutely brilliant, enough room for everyone to have their own space. Log burners were lovely and lots of logs to keep them going. Great family Christmas had by us all and the dogs really enjoyed their freedom in the large gardens and fields. Would definitely re-visit in the future. The welcome hamper was very nice welcoming touch.

Our stay at Plas Pwll Melyn was amazing, we used the house for our wedding party, it was plenty big enough for all our family and friends who loved it, it was perfect. All 60 guests didn't have a bad word to say and it was the perfect start to our married life.
Mr Green, Southport, October 2012
The house was lovely, very good position. It was extremely well equipped, we didn't want for anything and the endless supply of logs for the fire was very welcome. The upstairs living room is a perfect place for relaxation and the whole peace and quiet of the surrounding area was ideal.
Mrs Beyga, Liverpool, September 2012
We liked the quirky nature of the property, a fantastic house for the children to explore and run around in. The ample living space means that a party of ten are never on top of one another.
