  • "Lovely located comfortable property, which was ideal for our family."

We think a few improvements here and there would make it perfect. The patio door couldn't be opened which made the bedroom full of condensation. It would be useful to have an outside light at the rear of property and finally the information booklet needs updating with heating instructions. None of these things , however would deter us from booking again .

  • "Lovely holiday home."

Comfortable and relaxing holiday. Been to several cottages in Benllech listed by Sykes and I can say I have never been disappointed. If there where to be any improvements I would have loved to have had a BBQ as there was ample place to eat outside. As I said that’s our personal tastes. Thanks J & A

  • "Ty Bedw was a wonderful bungalow with everything thought of to make it a home from home; especially with a dog."

The garden was solidly secure & secluded, with the added benefit of a large crate space in the garage so that Charlie could be left safely for a short period. The bungalow was very cleverly configured with the kitchen in the middle & every appliance was good quality and easy to work. The location of the bungalow was ideal, with glimpses of the sea & all round sun. There was even a small mobile radiator for chilly summer evenings & abundant hot water. I would definitely return & have no hesitation in recommending Ty Bedw.

  • "Great place to stay."

Very clean on arrival. Would be helpful to have the toilet seat fixed, as has been reported by previous guests. We did not report this during our stay. Garden pictures need to be updated, as garden looks/feels very different to photos. Still lovely though.

  • "We loved Benllech - the little town has a good choice of supermarkets and takeaways and places to eat."

The Benllech pub does excellent food. Benllech beach is clean, sandy and great for paddling and swimming. There are toilets, parking and beachside cafes and a beach warden service some days. The bungalow was a short walk from the beach so in a fantastic location. The bungalow was clean and ready for our arrival. Keys were easy to find. Some wine milk and cakes left in the kitchen for us were a nice welcome. According to comments left in the visitors book at the property there is a long list of problems experienced by guests at the property which the owners do eventually put right but they react too slowly. We arrived to find a note in the garage saying problems with plumbing for washer so I had to struggle with collecting water from the washer in buckets to carry through the bungalow to pour down outside drain. We reported this to the housekeeping service but it was not resolved during our stay. The property is not as advertised in its listing. The garden now looks nothing like as nice as in the photos of the property on Sykes website. It states there is a utility room, but it is in fact a garage. The cloakroom is literally a toilet in a converted cupboard. The toilet seat in the main bathroom is very loose - this has been mentioned numerous times in the guest book feedback and the taps in the sink in the bedroom drip. We did fit 2 cars on the drive but it would be difficult to fit the 3 cars the listing says it holds. There are wobbly slabs, bricks on a low wall that are just placed on top of each other with no mortar and a huge crack in the concrete arch over the gate to the back door. This could be a super property with some money and some work to repair and improve both the inside of the property and the garden. We were rather disappointed overall in the property it was not up to the high standard we have come to expect from Sykes properties and it did not match up to its description and photos on Sykes website.

  • "Brilliant location, loved the house, the size of the house was perfect for a week’s holiday to Anglesey."

The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a welcome hamper on arrival, for the price we paid in the school holiday I would have liked one. Close to the beach I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

It was very spacious even for 7 of us and a dog. You supplied everything we needed. Plenty of outdoor garden space too. Loved how quiet the area was. Beach, shops and pubs all within a few minutes walk away. Would definitely love to stay again.

  • "Had a great week at this cottage."

This is a lovely cottage, clean and comfy, bedding was quality, as were the towels. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, although a bit basic. Could do with at least one smaller frying pan, a couple of tablespoons and a spatula. I was a bit worried after reading other reviews about the size and condition of the freezer. Do not worry about it, the kitchen has a new under counter fridge and there is an under counter sized freezer in the utility/garage. Loved the large cage area in the utility where you can leave your dog if you’re not taking them with you, thought that was a brilliant idea. I’ve seen the damage that dogs tend to do when left on their own in a strange house. The outside area is completely safe for the dog. I have a LLahsa Apso, she thoroughly checked the garden for escape holes and didn’t find any. I think the metal gate could do with some chicken wire over the base of it, a very small dog could probably get through it. There weren’t any black bin sacks to replace the one that had to be put out Tuesday night for collection on Wednesday morning. There wasn’t any information about when to put the bins out, or which ones to put out. Fortunately, I had my laptop with me, and I was able to check online. I also wrote down the days for the next year and pinned it to the cork board. As the previous reviewer has stated, the black bin was full to overflowing. Most people are happy to put the bins out, but they need to know when to do it, and have a bag to replace it with. Apart from the bin situation our holiday was a great success.

  • "We had a lovely time at Ty Bedw."

The sea views were amazing from different windows and very unexpected. Everything was clean and on hand and we were very comfortable. Just had to be careful with regard to the different levels especially with a 3yr old, although she didn't seem to mind. Although we had fun in the garden, the pictures of it could do with updating online, because that's one of the things we liked about Ty Bedw, the big lawn area and the covered Pagoda, both of which aren't there anymore. Also, we felt that the rubbish in the grey bin from the previous tenants, should have been disposed of before we got there. We ended up leaving a bag at the side because it wouldn't go in. Nobody wants to go to the tip whilst they r on holiday!!! We did however, put all the recycling out, but the brown bin for food waste, we found next to the compost bin, with no bottom in it, so we had to put it in with the grey bin rubbish. Only little niggles, but they would have made all the difference. We still had a good time though and Ty Bedw is ideally placed for visiting the rest of the island and beaches etc. Menai Holidays have a great customer service and are a joy to deal with. kind regards.

  • "Lovely property set in an ideal location."

The only thing I could possibly say against the property is that it has 3 double beds and our 2 kids had to share. It would definitely benefit having one room turned into a twin. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Beautiful views down to the sea and over to Snowdonia, it was a treat to wake up to every morning! The wider sights of Anglesey were also easily accessible via car with Benllech being well-connected by road. Plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance too. We had a fantastic week!

  • "We have stayed in Benllech a number of times over the years, but this is the first time at this particular property."

The bungalow was light and airy, fully equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. The enclosed back garden meant that Alfie our Springer could explore outside without us worrying - the kennel in the garage was a good idea. However we didn't use it as we brought his crate with us. We loved the fact that you left a collar tag - that was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to family and friends.

  • "Great location 5 min."

walk to the beach. The bungalow was very clean on arrival and had all the facilities mentioned on the website. However the fridge is a problem which needs sorting as there is no door on the freezer compartment which made the fridge too cold. Also there was no iron which was rather strange as there was a washing machine and ironing board. I do also think the owners should leave a supply of toilet rolls (not just 2 very cheap ones.)and clothes washing liquid which has been the norm in other properties of a similar price and standard we have stayed in. Overall a great holiday.

  • "We arrived to having problems with the electrics in the kitchen , for two days , along side that the freezer door was broken was stuck together with black sticky tape wouldn’t stay shut , the previous holiday people stuck it with the tape , so had been like that for a while and had not been repaired , we emailed you but nothing happened, so we left early, not happy at all as food would not freeze properly, plus the fridge is way to small for a house that holds over 8 people !"

    !!

Thank you for your feedback, the electricians were called to the house as soon as a problem was noted and would have been able to sort the the kitchen lights out sooner if the key had been left in the key safe as requested. The freezer compartment of the fridge was also noted on the changeover day and the most effective method of fixing it is being looked into, we were not made aware that is was a problem for you during your stay and while the solution at the time was not ideal it is being resolved as quickly as possible. As the house sleeps no more than 7 the fridge is adequate for the number of guests. Property Owner
