  • "We had a wonderful time at Talfan Cottage."

The cottage was everything and more that we could have wished for for a family getaway. The cottage was very well equipped and had lots of things that made our stay more comfortable. It was very clean and comfy too. We had a fabulous time away and would highly recommend Talfan Cottage. Thank you so much!

  • "Lovely holiday cottage in quiet location."

Very comfortable and well furnished, everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Very convenient to Newborough beach and LLanddwyn Island and easy to drive to the other seaside resorts on Anglesey.

  • "A superb holiday property in peaceful surroundings."

Although in the grounds of the owners house we felt it was very private and appreciated they were close by. The facilities were exceptional from having a fire laid ready to light to a huge and well equipped utility room which was brilliant storage for rucksacks, walking gear etc. The property is spacious yet cosy with tasteful furnishings and furniture and the choice of cosy sitting room or airy garden room was an extra bonus. We also appreciated the allocated parking area right outside the door for ease of loading and unloading the car. The bedrooms are all very comfortable with a separate bathroom serving three bedrooms and an ensuite for the largest room. There's also an extra shower room and loo downstairs which is handy too.

  • "We stayed at the cottage for a weekend, walking some of the Wales Coastal Path."

Cottage was perfectly situated for us, and well appointed. WiFi wasn't great in the kitchen (which is where we tended to plan our route for the day) and could hopefully be easily resolved with a wifi extender, or updated BT router. 4G/3G was patchy, so we were really relying on the broadband for family to contact us. Kitchen would benefit from some better saucepans, serving spoons etc Overall we had a great stay and we thought excellent value for 4 adults in their own bedroom.

Suggestion for the kitchen - a few pint sized glasses would be a welcome addition.

  • "Talfan Cottage is by far the best cottage we have stayed in."

The cottage is so bright and airy, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Wonderful kitchen equipped with everything you need. Every effort has been made to ensure your holiday is carefree, the cottage is maintained to a very high standard with cleanliness being at the top of the list. The patio area is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the late afternoon sun and listen to the sheep bleating at the gate. This was a family holiday, with my husband, son, daughter and her husband plus grandson aged 6. If I was to be negative about anything it would just be the lack of garden for George to expend some of his surplus energy before bedtime. All in all a fantastic place to get away from it all with just fields and sheep for company.

  • "A very well equipped cottage and to a high specification."

The kitchen diner was large and spacious and the children loved spending time in here. Together with the conservatory and lounge there was three separate areas to relax. There was so much space for our family and yet it was still cosy. Would love to return.

  • "We found the lounge a bit small, even for 5 people so I tended to sit in kitchen and read in evening, being winter a bit too cold for conservatory !"

With some of party arriving late evening after long journey a welcome pack would have been appreciated.. I didn't notice coffee sachets for several hours ! One person mentioned hand wash in at least one bathroom would have been a good idea..oh & we weren't sure about food waste & where to transfer it for collection day or day for this... All in all this holiday suited all ,ranging in age from 10 to 74 & was a good opportunity for us all to meet ,even if only overlapping for a few hours on a birthday,as we are spread over the country.. Anglesey is beautiful and not visited since my girls were toddlers...the cottage was very convenient for visiting Newborough Warren, Red wharf bay,Moelfre lifeboat station & of course crabbing at Beaumaris..a new pastime for grandchildren and getting us all into the invigorating fresh Welsh air!

  • "This home away from home is brilliant - in immaculate condition and done with real consideration of the guests."

Better appointed than my own home - we didn’t want to leave! The space worked comfortably for a large group - although we did have to borrow some seating from the conservatory for evenings in the lounge - but this is so easily done. The extra touches for our toddler and baby were spot on and made it all such an easy, relaxing holiday. The sighting of the red squirrel in the garden was the icing on the cake. Visit here, it’s a real treasure.

  • "Lovely and very well presented cottage providing very comfortable accommodation."

Excellent location for visiting most the attractions in N W Wales. Please note that access to the cottage is by a three-quarter mile long narrow lane and there is only one passing place about a quarter mile in. Fortunately this lane serves only Talfan Cottage as well one other house, so the chances of confronting another vehicle are rare.
