  • "Wonderful house!"

We stayed here to celebrate a special occasion, and it was perfect. The house was immaculate, and has possibly the best view we've ever had from a holiday let. Bull Bay is a great location – the small beach is just across the road, and the bay is sheltered so was good for swimming. It's a peaceful place with a lovely atmosphere. Pulrose also offers direct access to the Anglesey Coastal Path, with spectacular walks from the door in either direction.

Well that is lovely feedback! I’m delighted both of you and your family enjoyed celebrating your ‘special occasion’ at Pulrose. Thank you for your kind comments. Valerie Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property with a stunning view over Bull Bay."

The property had comfortable beds and sofa, well stocked kitchen and we spotted dolphins from the balcony. What more could you want! The bay which was only a few metres from the house was safe and calm for swimming and kayaking. Lovely coastal path walks in either direction and the Trecastle Hotel in Bull Bay was very good for an evening meal. Would love to return.

  • "Pulrose is not just a holiday home, it’s 'the' home if you want a prime location in Bull Bay that offers amazing views of the ever changing sea, weather and wildlife from the balcony."

The location offers the chance to pop down to the harbour, relax and chat to the locals, or take an invigorating walk along the coastal path to take in the many coves and inlets along the route and, if you’re lucky you may spot Dolphins, Seals and Porpoise as well. Pulrose itself offers so much it’s in terms of comfort that listing these would be hard, but what we did like was the detail and thought that the owner had gone to. You know when you go to a place and think ‘ I wish I’d brought ..’, well in Pulrose it’s probably in one of the many draws, from string or a sewing kit to binoculars. Top marks to the owner for providing an fantastic holiday accommodation filled with comfort and thought.

  • "This house is wonderfully situated with beautiful views across Bull Bay."

A modern well appointed property. We had lovely weather but had it been inclement we would have been happy to stay in this property and gaze at the view. Bull Bay is a quiet place and the area has a very calming effect. It may get busier in the months of July and August but as there is no beach I doubt if it will ever get very busy. You can sit and watch people launch their boats down the slipway and the local rowing club setting out for training on calm evenings. If you don’t want to travel around Angelsey Amwlch is five minutes away in the car and the small supermarket has everything you need. Angelsey is a beautiful island and you should take the opportunity to investigate it whilst there, even the Neolithic remains. This is without doubt one of the best properties we have stayed in.

However, they are small issues in an otherwise fabulous property in an amazing location.

  • "Superb house in a lovely location, with coastal walks from the door."

We couldn't fault it in any way, apart from, perhaps, rather poor TV reception generally (and no Channel 4, 5 and related channels). This could be easily rectified in this age of internet-based TV, etc.

About the location

BULL BAY

Amlwch 1.5 miles.

Bull Bay, or Porth Llechog in Welsh, which means "sheltered bay", is a picturesque seaside village on the northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey. It is the most northerly village in Wales, and boasts wonderful coastal scenery, with the island of East Mouse lying within the bay, which is rocky, shingly and offers rockpools for shrimping and crabbing. The village has a hotel with restaurant and bar, an excellent golf course, wonderful scenic walks along the renowned Anglesey Coastal Path and exciting fishing and bird watching. 1.5 miles east is the old port of Amlwch, and Parys Mountain, where visitors can enjoy the Copper Mine Trail Walk amidst the old ruins of what was once the world's largest copper mine in the 18th century. Amlwch's harbour dates back to the Middle Ages, and once was a thriving port. Enjoy the medieval town of Beaumaris, with its 13th century moated castle, museums, excellent shops, pubs and restaurants, a sea zoo, Plas Newydd mansion, or take a day trip into Snowdonia, or visit Dublin from the nearby port of Holyhead.
