Y Felinheli, formerly know as Port Dinorwic, is situated on the beautiful Menai Straits between the historic town of Caernarfon and the Cathederal city of Bangor. Home to a small, established yachting marina with an interesting lock (allowing boats to enter or leave before cruising down the Straits to the open sea) the village also has a selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and a hotel, as well as an Award Winning 5 Star restaurant only 2 miles away. Visitors to this lovely region are spoilt for choice, with stunning Snowdonia, the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, or the sandy beaches of the Isle of Anglesey all within easy reach.

Spend a day at one of the stunning sandy beaches nearby, cycle on the cycle path 2 minutes’ away or visit Plas Menai Outdoor Watersports Centre with indoor swimming pool, 1 mile away, before returning to this wonderful Y Felinheli cottage to relax and enjoy dining al fresco, taking in the stunning views which surround the property. With famous castles, mountain railways, the Snowdonia National Park, the Lleyn Peninsula and the peaceful Isle of Anglesey all close by, Ysgubor Penrallt is the perfect romantic hideaway, all year round. Having good accommodation, is the key to having a good holiday. The cottage was excellent, the owners were friendly. A lovely quiet area, with great views over the Menai Straits. Highlight has to be climbing mount Snowdon. Views to die for.
