It is a little slice of heaven. Comfortable beds, luxurious bathroom and a gorgeous open kitchen with everything you could possibly need. Great to have the washing machine/dryer and dishwasher too. The location is what sells this place though, we’ll all miss waking up to that view and enjoying a morning coffee in the garden! It was so peaceful and it felt good to escape the hustle and bustle of the busier towns/villages nearby. Being able to walk down to the beach was perfect. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous property with us once again!

The facilities are modern and clean and really easy to use. Love the washer dryer as I had washed and dried all clothes before leaving. Really quiet place, the kids loved the cottage as did the dogs. Looking at booking again for next year. It was a home from home and we didn't want to leave. TV worked well and the WiFi was brilliant, I managed to mirror screen our Disney and Netflix apps so could watch our shows, but plenty of dvds are available if not. Water pressure was so good the shower super powerful. Overall experience was 10/10.

Beaumaris is just a short drive away and then easy access to the rest of the island. Cottage is adequately equipped with everything you would need, beds are comfortable and the bathroom was huge. My only criticism is the lack of hanging space and mirrors, also the shower head was filthy. Aside from that I would have no hesitation staying here again or recommending it to other people.

The red wine and Welsh cakes were a nice touch, unfortunately neither of us is a fan of red, but the thought was appreciated. The dogs really enjoyed it and settled quickly, which was a bonus for us. Our only comment would be the addition of somewhere secure to let them out. Apart from that, couldn't find fault and look forward to staying there again, and hopefully get a look at the farm.

It was presented in a nice clean condition. Myself, my husband and our 2 dogs were very happy with our stay. Although there is no secure garden area there is plenty of dog walking areas right on your doorstep. There are 2 other holiday lets in the same complex, plus one permanent resident, who keep themselves to themselves. The owners live nearby and again do not intrude. In fact we only had chance meeting when she was sorting out her nearby chickens. As such, I do agree with a previous comment that an information pack would be helpful. Who to contact in emergency and basic instructions for electronic equipment and heating for example.

I thought directions were not too clear. Personally I would take road out of Beaumaris to Langoed. After nearly 2 miles turn right on road to Penmod. After a mile or so turn left by bus shelter with signpost to Penmod village. Drive past old school house with bell tower and take right branch at small traffic island. The drive for the property is then straight in front of you.

Everything you could want for a holiday . Only thing wrong is no blind in bathroom and as window looks out on to courtyard where 2 other cottages are it wasn’t very private. Frosted glass did not help at night when light was on and one morning when I wanted a shower people next door were packing their car right outside window and I was worried they would see in. So at night times and early morning I didn’t put light on (kept door open and hall light on) This was the only fault as apart from this cottage was perfect.

Please accept this as a formal complaint of the cleaning standards not being adhered to as your Covid 19 cleaning guidelines. As a keyworker working in the healthcare I know too well the importance & standards required at this critical time. Please see attached photos of the points raised. Which i,m sure as a reputable company you will agree that the standard required in the current climate has not been achieved. As you are aware we are in strange times and therefore expect high standards of hygiene. Given that your term and conditions make us aware of our expectations why is these same rules not extended to the property owners? Please see Step 3 after changeover - Final check and clean 9 - 14. Also Sykes on day of departure - Please remove all food from cupboards and fridge before you leave - as this was not observed as you can see from photos food was left in the cupboard and if as advised it was deep cleaned why was these left in situ. Further to this the floors were stained and dirty, windows on the inside had smeared marks see photos, crumbs all over work surfaces and greasy hob. Photos also illustrate table cloth grease tears and marks on the back of the sofa. We had spent 2 previous nights at a cottage in which was left immaculate the standard we expect, and duly received an email from the owner to the excellent standard we left the property.

Many thanks for your feedback and we are sorry you have felt the need to complain. It was noted that your initial problem was that there was no secure turn out for your dog . This is not specified on the details. If you had spoken to us, we could have helped you with this. With regards to the the cleanliness, the windows were marked with dog nose marks - not a Covid risk. The work tops were clean, as was the cooker hob , and the floor as I thoroughly vacuumed, washed the floors and washed the surfaces myself. We tend to leave condiments as people often find that they forget them. I found a dirty teaspoon by the tea and coffee pot - you had clearly made a cup of tea or coffee , and also taken the wine . If Covid was your genuine concern , you felt it safe enough to this, I question your complaint. As a fellow health care worker , I am also aware of how Covid is spread. Property Owner

The accommodation was very spacious, clean, comfortable and airy with fabulous views. The owners were lovely too. Just would prefer a washer in the property if possible even in the bathroom would be fine as the bathroom is huge. There are beautiful walks directly from the property which is great. The local shop in Llangoed sells everything you need and is only 5 minutes away in the car. The beaches on Anglesey are fantastic and dog friendly in October when we were there. Newborough forest is beautiful too. All in all a great place with the local people being really friendly too. What would put me off going to Wales is the control the Welsh Government and their intent to ruin all the tourism industry, imposing rules at short notice. Also never again will I book with Sykes! They continually pester you with emails and unwanted phone calls just wanting your business, a dreadful company.

However a blind on the bathroom window I think is a must. A better presentation by the hostess would be better and a welcome package/book giving essential information would be helpful. The area was beautiful.

A wonderful welcome gift on arrival (red wine & welsh cakes) which was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners mothers was a truly wonderful lady. We are definitely going back - if your looking to visit Anglesey/Caernarvon or Snowdonia this is definitely the place to stay.

  • "We had a lovely holiday."

The property was very clean and well equipped (although it could have done with some more bowls as there was only two, but that is a very minor gripe and certainly didn't impact on our impression of the property) The owners were very friendly and helpful. There were some Welsh Cakes and a bottle of wine on our arrival which was much appreciated. We would be happy to book this property again.

It was warm and cosy with the underfloor heating; it was also really nice to have a generous supply of logs for the woodburner and to find all the basics like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper etc. The situation is lovely, easy to find and with a great view of the sea from the living area and mezzanine bedroom. . We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely owner who brought us fresh eggs and chocolate cake. I would really recommend it as a place to stay - our dog loved it too!

  • "Beautiful setting & cottage."

Owner made us very welcome & could be contacted at any time. Only tiny niggles, as the group of cottages (3) are pet friendly an outside light on the garden would be welcome as it's pitch black at night or supply or recommend to take a torch. Oven gloves would be welcome and the picture windows could do with a good clean. Couldn't find a dustpan so difficult to sweep floor when we left. Also found dead flies behind the curtains and a few cobwebs here & there. Having said that I would recommend the cottage.

  • "When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by the owner who was lovely."

She made us feel very welcome and made a fuss of our dogs. On entering the cottage, we were shocked, that it was so nice! What a beautiful property. We unpacked and Toeni , the owner, told us about a walk to the lighthouse from the property. We decided to do this walk during the evening and it was beautiful and we decided then what an ideal cottage and location this was for us. We had a problem with the water as it was cold in the evening and we rang Toeni, who sent her husband to sort it out (just a flick of a switch - perfect). The following morning we set out for a walk and unfortunately within an hour of walking my husband fell and broke his leg badly. We were rescued by the local coastguards (who were amazing) and that was the end of our stay (one day)...... Gwyn and Toeni (who own the cottage were fantastic. taking charge of our dogs and walking them - keeping them company while we were both at the hospital. Also Gwyn drove in front of me to show me how to get to the hospital - as I was pretty stressed by this time). We wanted to return in May 2017 but this cottage is booked up, so we are hoping another will be available. Looking forward to returning to explore the area. (The bathroom was huge and gorgeous - book it, you won't regret it).
