About the location

Malltraeth

Newborough 2 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Malltraeth lies in the south west corner of Anglesey, at the head of the long inlet formed by the Cefni Estuary and close to the popular Newborough Forest and Warren sand dunes. Malltraeth Pool and the magnificent sweep of marshes and sand dunes, which stretch south to Llanddwyn Island, are all part of a National Nature Reserve. The whole area is renowned for its birdlife and Malltraeth was once home to the famous wildlife artist Charles F Tunnicliffe. There are wonderful forest and coastal walks from the village, which has two pubs, a cafe serving afternoon tea and a chip shop (also selling basic items/newspapers etc). Close by are beautiful beaches at Llanddwyn (reputedly the 4th best in Britain), Aberffraw, and Rhosneigr, which is renowned for its all year round watersports facilities.

Excellent value for money - property well equipped, modern and clean. Hot tub is a great addition. Very friendly owners. Would recommend a stay.

Ms Cooper, Birmingham, March 2014

From start to finish we felt welcomed and completely relaxed. The hot tub was incredible, especially after a beautiful walk around the area!

Miss Duffus, Swindon, March 2014

The cottage was lovely, as were the owners who were very helpful and friendly with useful recommendations on where to go and what to do. The location of the cottage was perfect, amazing views from the bedroom and breakfast table. The hot tub and the log burner were the icing on the cake! Fantastic weekend all round! Will definitely book again.

Mr O'brien, Macclesfield, March 2014

Our hosts were so welcoming and friendly it made the holiday. Also all the little touches are lovely.
