  .. Great for kids because it's really easy access to the beach. The apartment has lovely views over the harbour. The only down side is that you can hear the people below and we were woken up several times to the sound of them rowing and slamming doors. Fortunately the property downstairs is also a holiday let and the people left mid week.

• "Great location- views are superb."

  Apartment is bigger than we expected, though thought there was ensuite but just a tiny room for toilet. Clean enough, though feels it needs some love. Flickering light bulbs, definitely needs new mattresses and please just put a smart tv in so people can watch more than 4 channels! The entrance hall is dingy and quite often smelly with other tenants washing/wet shoes and quite yuck. Would be nice to have some staples in the house (milk, oil, sugar etc) as there was nothing but a bara brith and a couple of tea bags and we had to go straight out to buy things. The real issues for us (and we stayed 3 weeks) was the absolute lack of soundproofing for when people were staying in apartment underneath. Literally could hear every movement they made- snoring, talking, making cups of tea, noisy dog day and night, bathroom, use, you name it. Absolutely shocking and there’s no way it could meet any building code. I contacted Sykes about this and they basically said too bad, call police if it’s noisy, but it was just every day noise and no escape at night either, just sleepless nights trying to escape the snoring. Horrible. No way we would have booked to put up with that. Also had an unfortunate incident with the owner letting herself in whilst my daughter and I were sitting on the couch. No knocking at the door first, No quick exit, but she stood in the lounge room and tried to have a conversation instead. She had our check out day wrong and was very passive aggressive saying that she is the owner repeatedly without making sincere apology. Everyone makes mistakes, and a proper sorry would have been ok (still not great!) but to make me feel like it was our fault for feeling uncomfortable was not ok and really upset us. Again, Sykes said get over it basically. Terrible, and won’t be coming back. Too bad, as it could be lovely, especially with some sound proofing!!

• "A great place to stay with lovely views."

  I was a little apprehensive when we arrived in the communal stair space as it was rather basic and smelt damp. But on arrival at the apartment I was more than happy. Great kitchen applicances and a lovely cake left for us. The living room was very comfortable and the heating worked perfectly. Range of tv channels a little disappointing. Bedrooms were beautifully dressed. The main bedroom mattress a little hard for us but that’s personal choice. Bathroom facilities all great. The balcony doors in both rooms were a little draughty on windier days and whistled as the wind got up. The biggest downside was the noise from downstairs. At night I could even hear the man snoring in the downstairs apartment. They also had a noisy dog and raised conversations could also be heard. We had Asda delivery and an Indian takeaway delivery. Used the village chip shop, the coffee shop at the harbour and grocery shop. All in all a great place to stay with great views and excellent level of comfort.

• "This a wonderful apartment we just love the views and walks on the beaches nearby."

  Watching the turn of the tide each day was lovely. The locals are very friendly and everyone spoke. Do try the little cafe in the village. It was very clean and well looked after by the owners. The only thing missing was a casserole dish with a lid as we like to get meal ready before we go out.

  The accommodation was perfect for what we needed and the view is beautiful. The apartment was well equipped and we found everything we needed. The beds and seating were all very comfy. It was very clean and tidy throughout. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Cemaes, it is fabulous. We will definitely be booking here again.

• "Generally has a great weeks stay, brilliant location with lovely views."

  Surprised how thin the floors were as we could hear downstairs guests snoring vomiting and talking. The flat was generally very clean but I did find toenail clippings when I moved the bed to fit in our travel cot. We switched our children from the twin room as don’t feel wrought iron bed frames are safe for young children (didn’t spot this detail on the photos), and found lots of the doorways had nails or screws sticking up from the carpet gripper strip, meaning footwear was always required. As mentioned in a previous review there are still lightbulbs not working, and it was disappointing for the children when the paw patrol dvd case was empty. Overall good just a few things that could be changed to make it excellent. Thank you

  We were trialing the apartment for when we stay with the family. In that instance there would be 6 of us for a week and so a couple of things to note in the 'facilities' column: - A dishwasher would be a great asset. I would say that most folk pack what they need for holiday, clothes wise, so don't desparately need a washing machine with no tumble dryer. (They could go to the local laundrette if desperate) Whereas no one really wants to keep hand washing up for 6 when they're on holiday. Other than that it was very nicely appointed, very comfortable and cosy, whilst feeling spacious

  Plenty of room for 4 people. Very comfy bed in the main bedroom & loved sitting in the chair in there reading & looking out over the harbour. Plenty of parking behind the property. • "Accommodation has been updated, looks lovely although bathroom door stuck, this was our 3rd visit, and booked for next yr already, everything we needed was there, had a run each morning along coastal path followed by quick dip in the sea- v refreshing!"

  Lovely warm and very clean apartment ,with everything needed for our stay. Light and airy with beautiful views. Positioned in a good place for our days out walking.... interesting little village to wonder round and explore...can recommend the community shop for momentos and interesting 'home made' and 'crafty' gifts to take home! Great to come back to a warm and cosy atmosphere after a 'busy' day walking. A soak in the bath or a hot shower followed by a g and t watching the sun go down over the harbour and beach....what more could you ask for?

  ..the cabinet in the en suite is too low to enable the use of the sink properly,banging head when using.As I said this is nit picking! The apartment is home from home with fabulous views out to sea.Ceames Bay is a great base to explore the island and the accommodation was the icing on the cake.

  It is literally a toilet and very small washbasin fit only for hand washing. However the apartment is very comfortable, well equipped and with gorgeous view over harbour. More instructions on how to use the TV etc and heating would have been helpful.

  Beautifully decorated with excellent quality beds,bedding,curtains etc. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and more. Amazing views of the sea and harbour only two minutes walk . Beautiful places to walk in the area. Pub with good meals two minutes walk away. Only slight disappointment was that a few areas could have been cleaner. Nothing too bad and was acceptable but for me that let the apartment down a little, Sorry. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would happily return.

• "An extremely well appointed apartment, very spacious with all the facilities for a young family of four."

  Fantastic views overlooking the harbour with a sunset if the weather permits. Everything on the doorstep for young children who love beaches, one off the best fish and chip shops we have ever experienced is located a very short walk away, as is a pizza and beach shack takeaway selling pizzas to die for! The weather was perfect when we were there, if it could be guaranteed we wouldn't go anywhere else.

  We had a very small problem understanding how to use the TV. We rang the owner and she was very helpful and came round immediately to show us how the controller worked. The flat is very convenient for shop and eating places. We play golf so found it very convenient for Bull Bay golf course.

  Law and 2 grand children aged 3 and 7. Plenty of room and gorgeous views. We go away regularly, so we fully appreciate when owners go the extra mile and provide good quality items, bedding, cutlery, earring and cooking utensils, as well as games, information, etc. We tried to book New Year here as soon as we got back, but sadly fully booked so will have to look for somewhere else in Caemes Bay.
