  • "The property was very large and comfortable, comfy beds and lovely large sofas, great shower and a bath, there were a few things broken inside, a little tired but the location was amazing for walks etc."

The kitchen could maybe have an air fryer or slow cooker instead of the ice maker. The three drawer freezer was a bonus in the porch room. Would happily return.

  • "Lovely peaceful cottage with a seaview , all the essentials needed, lovely comfortable beds."

Although no washing machine due to location explained in owners welcome and instruction pack, this was not a problem as there is a lovely welcoming laundry service in Benllech which we used whilst at the cottage.

great location and relatively secluded. Everything worked well and a great base to go exploring. \booking glorioud weather also helped. Take a day trip to Dublin, leave at 8am get back at midnight. Book in advance for around £9 each way including bus into the centre of Dublin, and pick up some duty free on the way back.

  • "The cottage is in a lovely location, the beds were very comfortable and the bed linen spotless."

However this cottage needs some love and attention to detail. The key was not in the lock box which nesitated a call to the owner to locate spare keys. The window between the kitchen and lobby has a large crack ,the lobby had a very unpleasant smell. The dishwasher had been left closed so smelt badly, 2 clocks need battery replacement and the lounge is desperate for redecoration paper is peeling off the wall in one spot and the whole cottage needs a good deep clean. We had very heavy rain and the guttering to the conservatory is broken so leaks inside. There are no towel rails in the bathroom, neither a cabinet to store toiletries or medication. The bedrooms need at least one bedside table, as one other guest noted ,the shelves slope so really can't be used. There were no spare black rubbish bags and to get to the washing line you had to battle with a tree. As stated lovely spot but really needs some attention.

  • "Beautiful cottage , ."

Fantastic views , everything you need well equipped kitchen ,lovely big lounge , and conservatory ideal for watching the rabbits in the garden as our dog Tilly did . It does look a little tired on decor but could soon be sorted with a tin of paint .Our only complaint is it says there is a dog run and out door kennel ,but there isn't and so the dog has to be on lead at all times in the garden .However this is only a minor problem.would we book again ? Most certainly would . Thank you for letting us stay in your cottage .

Beds were really comfy.could do with a bedside cabinet in bedroom instead of little shelf though as things kept sliding off.Dog and I loved sitting in the conservatory watching the rabbits. Would definitely go back again.

We were greeted in the porch entrance with a mop bucket filled with filthy green water ,microwave filthy unfit for use worst property we have ever stayed in by far, no washing machine, but a filthy falling to bits clothes line access scrape your way through the bushes For the price awful reluctant to use Sykes cottages again suggest someone actually visits it

We had to contact the owner and he was helpful and sent a plumber out within a couple of hours. Bedding and towels of good quality and comfy and soft. There is a fusty smell in some of the cupboards but did not cause us any problems. Lovely garden in a beautiful position will definitely return.

  • "Very disappointed when we first arrived at the property as it was filthy."

I had to clean the kitchen and bathroom surfaces before we could use them. Even the coasters were caked in tea Staines. Mould on the backs of the couches, and curtains in the double bedroom. No keys for the conservatory windows so couldn’t open them, one was actually broken and taped up! and didn’t use the ceiling fan as was too filthy! The single bed mattresses sunk terribly in the middle so not comfy for the kids. The grass hadn’t been cut for a while either so made it difficult to clean up after the dogs. It all needed a deep clean (or even a clean!) and tidy up. The fridge kept falling out of its unit when you opened the door too if it had items in it. Apart from these issues, the place is in a fab spot, nice and quiet and you can walk to the beach. Garden is not enclosed from the 2nd holiday property in the grounds so we had to watch the dogs. You know it’s not good when there is no comments book to leave feedback! No lovely welcoming gesture as in so many holiday lets nowadays, such as a bottle of wine or even soap which adds a nice touch for arrival. So all in all, a nice setting but would not stay again.

  • "A very spacious bungalow in fantastic grounds with superb views There were various issues however A large window in the conservatory was taped up on the handle so unable to lock it, a security issue, the top window in the bedroom adjacent to the conservatory would not close and the handle on the doors leading from the lounge to the bedrooms was still broken in spite of a comment on previous feedback."

the curtains in one of the bedrooms were mouldy at the bottom

  • "Seaview Cottage was in a peaceful rural location and was a good base for exploring Anglesey."

However, we found the cottage wasn’t particularly clean and it smelt musty in all rooms due to damp. There was a number of handles which were loose, one from the bedroom wardrobe fell off when we tried to open the door. The outside light wasn’t working which was inconvenient when letting the dog out as it was pitch black so we ended up using the torches on our phones (the cabin behind was lit up like Blackpool Illuminations in comparison!). The timer on the boiler wasn’t working so we had to manually turn on the heating when necessary. Although it was mentioned in the summary, there was no log/fuel pack for the log burner supplied. Despite the above, it didn’t spoil our holiday as we were out and about most of the time, however, we would not return to Seaview Cottage.

  • "Although the cottage was relatively comfortable and in a nice setting, it was very tired and there were some areas on the walls and ceilings which had dampness and mildew."

I don't think it had had a deep clean for a long time...probably not helped by being unused during lockdowns. It certainly wasn't worth the 5 'ticks' given to it by Sykes...and it certainly wasn't stylish as described in the Sykes brochure!!!!

  • "The setting of Seaview cottage is lovely ."

However the accommodation is very tired and damp. The wall in the twin room was wet. The cottage was not practically clean ...dead fly's on window sill, hair slides left in conservatory and we had to put dishes though the dishwasher as they were dirty. One of the dogs found food under the sofa. The Wi-Fi does not work in the bedrooms. There was no kennel or outside pen for the dogs which it clearly mentions in the itinerary and nowhere secure to let the dogs out. At no point does it mention until you arrive that the dogs are supposed to sleep in the damp porch ... our dogs don’t sleep together. If we had known this, we would not have booked this accommodation. There are no outside lights that work so when you do take the dogs out at night it is very dark. It also says when you arrive to keep the dogs out of the bedroom area which is fair enough. IF the door to the bedrooms stays shut and the handle isn’t broken. All in all this property was a great disappointment. on a positive note there are plenty of seats and sofas in the property and a nice kitchen table where you can sit-down all together for a meal.
