The small village of Llanfaethlu nestles close to the stunning, north west coastline of Anglesey. Amidst spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches, this unassuming village provides a local shop, and Post Office, whilst nearby Church Bay boasts a superb seafood restaurant. Wales' only working windmill is within easy reach, providing an opportunity to see corn being ground the old fashioned way, while the surrounding countryside boasts excellent fishing, birdwatching and coastal walks, with climbing on offer in Snowdonia. Indulge in fabulous watersports, including kitesurfing, diving and sailing at the stunning Rhosneigr beach, or enjoy 18 holes at a choice of three local golf courses. Spend the day at Anglesey Sea Zoo, visit the historic town of Beaumaris with its medieval castle and array of shops and restaurants, take a boat trip past Plas Newydd Country House or indulge in a day trip to Ireland. Follow the Anglesey Mills Trail to Wales' only working windmill, or enjoy spectacular walks to golden, sandy beaches. Watersports enthusiasts are well catered for at Rhosneigr beach, while Anglesey Sea Zoo is well worth a visit. An ideal base for a peaceful holiday with fun for all the family closeby.

Fantastic house and gorgeous country surroundings. The photos online don't do it justice. Absolutely spotless and very well equipped down to the last detail, including lots of unexpected extras such as washing powder and coals for the barbeque. Friendly owners who made us very welcome. What a great holiday!
