Wales' only working windmill is within easy reach, providing an opportunity to see corn being ground the old fashioned way, while the surrounding countryside boasts excellent fishing, birdwatching and coastal walks, with climbing on offer in Snowdonia. Indulge in fabulous watersports, including kitesurfing, diving and sailing at the stunning Rhosneigr beach, or enjoy 18 holes at a choice of three local golf courses. Spend the day at Anglesey Sea Zoo, visit the historic town of Beaumaris with its medieval castle and array of shops and restaurants, take a boat trip past Plas Newydd Country House or indulge in a day trip to Ireland. A wonderful, all year round holiday location.

The Property

Llanfaethlu 1 mile. A lovely 18th Century, stone-built farmhouse, idyllically located on the outskirts of the small village of Llanfaethlu, 10 miles from Holyhead. Carefully renovated and boasting sweeping countryside views towards Snowdonia, this fabulous, detached house features two traditionally styled sitting rooms, one with a warming open fire, three spacious bedrooms and a large, well established garden, perfect for alfresco dining. Llanfaethlu offers a village shop and the popular Black Lion pub/restaurant, while the celebrated seafood restaurant at nearby Church Bay is a must. Follow the Anglesey Mills Trail to Wales' only working windmill, or enjoy spectacular walks to golden, sandy beaches. Watersports enthusiasts are well catered for at Rhosneigr beach, while Anglesey Sea Zoo is well worth a visit. An ideal base for a peaceful holiday with fun for all the family close by.

Lawned garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ. Two dogs welcome, must be kept to tiled areas indoors and under control outside due to open farmland. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 1 mile. Note: The property is approached via a farm track and may therefore be unsuitable for vehicles with particularly low ground clearance.
