It had everything we needed and was enjoyed by the whole family, especially the dogs! The proximity to the beach was a real strength of the place and made early morning dog walks exceptionally enjoyable. The hosts were on hand if needed and were very kind and friendly. Definitely hoping to return!

The cottage is in an amazing location right next to the beach. We were very comfortable here, enjoyed the sea view from the sitting room and watching the sunsets from the garden. We had everything we needed and the new bed is sumptuous. It’s worth knowing that the mile long road down from Llanddona village is narrow, steep and twisty. But there are passing places and by the end of the week we were going up and down without a qualm. Altogether a fab place which we will return to.

  • "Avoid at all costs."

The house has a good aspect but unfortunately let down by being cheaply furnished. One of owners who lives behind house was intrusive, unwelcoming and made the stay an unpleasant experience. Would not recommend.

We are really sorry the cottage didn't meet your expectations. We always try to be sensitive to our guests and not be intrusive in any way. We do allow dogs, which means we may not invest heavily in high end furniture and fittings but we do strive to ensure our cottage is clean, has nice linen and a good level of comfort. The cottage has had some good improvements made to it this year. We will be adopting the security bond system going forward to ensure that we don't have any cause to ask customers to retrospectively pay for any damage or repairs and hopefully this creates a fair and reasonable expectation on both sides. • "We have stayed here 3 times over the past 9 years I think it is and there really hasn't been any updates with furniture, the double bed was uncomfortable for us and we ended up using the two singles which were really comfortable."

The cottage sleeps 4 but still there is only a 2 seater settee and one arm chair so not ideal or comfortable for 4 people to relax. The location is what does it for us, right on the beach, fantastic, but am sorry to say we wont be returning, and what has added to making this decision was the 2 visits from the owner who walked past the front door and knocked on the lounge room window which I thought was a little intrusive, and also the fact the owner made a point of telling me twice, on these visits, to put money in the honesty box on the fire place for logs and kindle even though there was a sign/note clear to see stating this....

The owners and family members on site are very helpful, welcoming and thoughtful. We love the location and the views from the lounge window are unbeatable. The beds and furnishings are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We have had a couple of small issues while staying there and they have been sorted immediately without any fuss.

The location is peaceful and the views are stunning, plus it is almost on the beach. You can go to sleep to the sound of lapping waves and wake up to the dawn chorus. The cottage is very homely and comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday and the owners are extremely welcoming and friendly but leave you to get on with your holiday. We have already booked a week in October - that is how much we love staying here.

Yes the road to it is narrow, but we managed without any problems. The cottage was very clean and had pretty much all you could want. If I had to make a criticism it would be the lack of information, leaflets on places to visit etc but perhaps that was a Covid issue?

It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great for walks along Red Wharf Bay and the views from the garden were beautiful, particularly the sunsets. The lane down to the cottage was very steep, narrow and had a lot of twists and turns and could be busy at times with campers and visitors to the bay. The owners lived next door and were really friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

At low tide there are miles of sandy beach to walk on, right across the bay. The sunsets are stunning. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need to self cater. The Bathroom and ensuite Cloakroom are modern and well equipped. The Hosts Brother lives on site with his wife and gorgeous doggy. They are lovely and welcoming, but not intrusive in anyway. The only comment we have that is not totally positive is that the mattresses have seen better days but it will me stop me returning.

The cottage is at the bottom of a very steep hill, the local council bought to much road, so much so they had to bend it (lots) to get it all in. Well equipped, comfy beds, our little dog Alfie enjoyed the beach straight across the road, great walking. After a bit of investigation we found different things to do each day on the island.
