  • "Hyfryd! We had a great week at Cwch Gwenyn !"

The cottage is full of character and the owners caring and helpful. The cottage was comfortable, warm and well-designed. A perfect place to relax and unwind, with green fields outside. I love it that the owners have devised a historically fitting Welsh name for the cottage. Four of us stayed here and explored the area, mainly walking the gorgeous coastal paths. We love the area and the cottage certainly added to the enjoyment. Back soon I hope. Diolch yn fawr ! Med Roberts

We went to this property to rest and spent lots of time relaxing outside on the lovely garden furniture. The property is situated within a short drive to some lovely places to eat and the beach. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped where there is a large chunky solid wood dining table and comfortable chairs. The lounge is large and bright with ceiling skylights and 2 very comfortable sofas. The bedrooms are cozy with cozy easy fall asleep firm mattress beds. There are 2 toilets upstairs and downstairs with 1 downstairs shower and large cubicle, the shower itself is hot and powerful. We really enjoyed Cwch Gwenyn.

A wonderful space to return to after a long days adventure visiting wonderful beaches just on the doorstep! The roll top bath was a little taste of luxury! Everything we needed was supplied in the cottage. They really thought of everything. Just perfect, thank you so much to Steve and Sian. We hope to come back.

Every comfort supplied, clean, comfortable and cosy. The log burner was great, threw out so much heat and a lot easier and quicker to clean out than we anticipated. In fact the whole cottage was very warm and welcoming which, after days out walking the fabulous Anglesey coastline was brilliant. Our hosts were there to welcome us and at the end of the phone should we need anything, apart from that (and popping round to say goodbye) they didn't bother us at all - which was just brilliant....Great hosts....Thank you! All in all we had a wonderful week, Cwch Gwenyn was a real find, in a great location, with lovely hosts and a place we will definitely book again!

This property has been lovingly restored, creating a superb blend of modern, traditional and quirky features to appeal to everyone. There is an abundance of open stone, oak beams and lavish furnishings to create a great atmosphere to really relax and unwind in. It is in a nice secluded setting, private patio next to fields with sheep, perfect for outdoor dining. The hosts, Steve and Sian, are a lovely couple, very friendly and accommodating with a lot of local info. Our only disappointment was the weather, but there are plenty of walks, beaches and places to eat and visit nearby. Our favourite days out were Newborough (beach and forest), South Stacks nature reserve and the dramatic steps to the lighthouse and Beaumaris town and castle. We have no doubt we will return in the future.

Everything you could possibly need is here. We especially loved the indoor and outdoor fires - a true delight. The cottage is situated down a small track in a beautiful location. There is a small shop nearby. The interior has been furnished to high standards and is equipped with everything you will need and more. Spotlessly clean and quaint and cozy - we couldn't have asked for more. The furnishings are a combination of new and old including lots of quirky pieces that have been in the family for generations..So much thought and care has been invested into this true 'home from home'. The owners have worked tirelessly to restore this beautiful building and it has clearly been a labour of love. You will not be disappointed. A perfect place to relax and unwind. We enjoyed days out to Newborough Forest (the walk out to Llanddwyn Island is a must), and to the beaches at Red Wharf Bay, Traeth Ligwy, Cemlyn Bay, Cemaes Bay and Porth Dafarch (the walk along the coastal path is breath-taking). I will definitely be returning here and I wish the owners all the luck with their new venture. Such remarkable and humble hosts who will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. My only wish was that I could have stayed longer..

  • "Beautiful cottage - light and airy yet cosy and compact too."

Perfect for three of us on a short weekend away (what a novelty after months of lockdown!) Steve was so kind and helpful, clearly wanted to do all he could to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, which it was. He and Sian had clearly put a lot of thought and care into Covid safety too. Beautiful touches such as the antique kitchen table, exposed beams etc. The living room is a great space for cosying up We loved the woodstove on the rainy days, then having the double-doors wide open on sunny mornings. The outside seating and fire bowl were fabulous touches - the cottage is on the small side (in a lovely cosy way!), so being able to extend the living space outside was just such a treat. We brought bikes, so could leave the car behind and head to nearby beaches (30 mins, hilly but not too strenuous). Easy to find, peaceful out-of-the-way location with amenities close by. Thanks for everything Steve and Sian! Highly recommended.
