From the doorstep of this Moelfre cottage is a fantastic cliff walk along the coastline towards Red Wharf Bay, or if you prefer, you can walk to the open sandy beach at Lligwy, which stretches for over a mile and offers fantastic safe bathing due to its shallow sloping beach. In Moelfre you can visit the local life boat station, which has had many bravery awards given to its crew during its existence, or you can relax at the local tea rooms and enjoy the home cooked cakes and scones. Just a short drive from this Anglesey cottage you will find historic castles at Beaumaris and Caernarfon, or you can visit the fascinating Sea Zoo and the Pili Palas Butterfly Farm near Menai.
