The house was comfortably large enough for 8 adults 4 children and 2 dogs and in a great location We made good use of the hot tub ( would have liked a chemical test kit though) and all the communal rooms -in particular the children’s play room, the large lounge and the settee in the kitchen area and the table that accommodated us all We did think that for a house geared up for children that plastic cups would have been useful We were disappointed that the washing machine wasn’t working and communication with the owner was poor and a repair or replacement was not provided The amount of nik naks on surfaces meant that we couldn’t clean properly We also didn’t think the dishwasher was adequate for large numbers and didn’t clean properly Water pressure in the showers was variable especially when two were used at once Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely consider visiting again

  • "The photos absolutely don’t do the house justice, I’m sure with better photos you will have an increased occupancy."

Unfortunately and starting with the picky and small negatives: Towels were left in the drier No Bath mats so had to use small towels Detailed cleaning of the house; Skirting boards dirty, previous occupants rubbish under the sofa and down between the cushions and under the TV. When the shower is switched on the first floor, the top floor water supply almost stops. I know, how deva ish? However, this did not cause an issue to us and we absolutely loved our stay. We text the owners regarding no fire wood being in situ, within 10 minutes they had arrived with some wood. Top class service. A pool table in place of the amazingly ornate table football would be a fantastic addition and give more fun on those rainy days (it persisted down every day of our stay). A good call would be to mention you need to book a table at both The Ship Inn (very miserable and unappealing staff) and the Boat House. We were left hanging a little for anything in walking distance but managed to get into the Ship Inn, considering there were 8 of us (and we like a drink) they could have been more welcoming. Hey ho! Anyway, this is meant to be a really good review! We had a ball, relaxed, walked, ate and drink considerably. We’d would love to come back in the summer. Hopefully the Sun will be out.

  • "To start off the pictures don't do this property justice, I couldn't believe how large the rooms were."

We are a family of 10, two grandparents three parents 5 grand kids 8 to 18 and Cooper our dog. We had the large suite upstairs, it was like any 5 star hotel we have stayed in. The house was always warm, shame as I wanted to light the wood burners. The kitchen is very well equipped, we cooked all week and never found to be short of anything. We couldn't get the wine cooler down in temp from 15 degrees but had more than enough room in the two fridges. The main room had four sofas and were very comfortable. The hot tub had very good use over the week and enjoyed by all even though I suspect it has a slight leak. We found three walks down to the coast taking only minutes. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, the communication we had with Sarah was first class. Thank You

Lots of space for everyone and plenty of hide and seek opportunities for the children and dog. Dishwasher and ovens were sometimes hit and miss but the laundry room was a bonus as was the hot tub. Comfortable rooms with nice views and close proximity to beaches and harbour. We had a great time and have already booked for next year.

  • "We stayed here as a surprise for my Dad’s 70th Birthday with 12 of us - 7 adults and 5 children (ranging 10-14 yrs)."

There was a lot of space. This property looked good on the website but the pictures don’t do it full justice. It’s on 3 levels and there is a lot of communal room in the kitchen, 1st floor landing area and living room for large groups to socialise. The house is well equipped and you don’t want for much in there. We had a small issue with the dishwasher but the owner was sorted this very quickly. The owner of the house also owns The Boathouse Restaurant at Red Wharf Bay, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the house, and we had a lovely evening meal there on one of the nights, and were kindly given a bottle of Prosecco, compliments of the owner, which was a nice touch. The master bedroom is stunning and so is the huge living room on the middle floor. It’s a great spot to explore Anglesey & Snowdonia from and we had a great break. We’d definitely stay again in future!

A leak under the sink needed fixing but this was reported. 3. Parts of the kitchen could have been a bit cleaner. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The LL75 8RJ postcode in the Listing is wrong and correct post code is actually LL75 8RZ. Hence the Listing post code will take you to the beach but the house is not actually there. Unfortunately, it was let down massively by the lack of cleanliness. The kitchen was especially dirty - the floor, microwave, oven etc were all very dirty on our arrival. The washing machine also needed a good clean. The initial impression is ok, but further inspection reveals a lot of dust and grime. The house is beautiful, much more than expected. It is very spacious for our family of 3 – 70 yrs of age. The ‘games’ room perfect for the littlies with a large lounge alongside. All the rooms are amazing. The kitchen plenty big enough and very well stock with all utensils and crockery and good seating area. The large parking area was sufficient for our four vehicles plus our trailer full of Kayaks, body boards and wetsuits. The bonus being the hot tub, a hit with all of us. The rooms were all lovely especially the two large attic rooms with en suite although these did get extremely hot during the recent spell of very hot weather. The garden was a nice size with plenty of privacy and the hot tub the icing on the cake. The photos do not do this place justice, it is much bigger than it appears, especially the extra large lounge which accommodated us all easily. The only negative I would give the property is regarding cleanliness, on first arrival it appeared lovely and clean but it soon became apparent that this was a surface clean only, more attention should have been paid to this really important aspect.....would we come back again ? Absolutely (with the hope it would be cleaner next time) Overall an amazing place to stay, for any special occasions it is perfect.

One side of the oven was broken, the coffee machine was filthy and rusty. I sat on a big rusty nail in the hot tub. We also found that although the essentials needed in the kitchen were there. We found them all quite dirty and had to deep clean anything before we used it. The dishwasher didn’t really work properly, everything come out smelling like fish and dirty. The house has such potential, it’s huge and plenty of space with good facilities. We just felt the place needed a really good deep clean and all maintenance looked at. We did write a review in the guest book and left a letter but as the reviews on trip advisor states you could clearly see pages had been ripped out and probably binned.

  • "Nant-yr-Rhedyn, Red Warfe Bay."

We had a week in this lovely house in August and, although the weather could have been better, our whole family of 8 adults and 5 children all had a wonderful time. The spacious accommodation is spread over 3 floors, with loads of room for everyone to either gather together or to find there own space. The huge Lounge with 4 big sofas and several additional easy chairs was a great hit for full family gatherings after dinner. With it's six bedrooms, 3 bathrooms plus 2 WCs, huge kitchen/diner and loads of recreational space, plus the hot tub, this really is a fabulous house within easy reach of both Red Warfe Bay and Benllech. Just a couple of minor negatives which, although they didn't spoil it for us, could use some attention to avoid future complaints: Some hidden spaces (e.g. under the kitchen/diner sofas), could use a more thorough cleaning regime. Not enough facilities for rubbish disposal and recycling. I actually drove a car full of full bin bags to a recycling centre several miles away, only to be turned away because I am not a resident of Anglesey !! So more secure (birdproof) storage for rubbish is needed. These minor issues notwithstanding though, we had a great holiday. Thank you.

Proximity to the bay, with two nice pub/ restaurants is good and definitely within walking distance despite the hill. The antique and collectible shop close to the property is a great find! Whilst the pictures listed are great, perhaps the web listing would benefit from a floor plan. There was ample space for my large extended family (8 adults and 4 children) and it was a great base to explore Anglesey from. My two main gripes would have been directions (which were poor and resulted in quite a stressful attempt to find the property) and the hot tub. The hot tub was one of the main attractions for me and my family and it really isn’t in great condition. In honesty, it needs replacing. It is clearly leaking and the levels dropped considerably over the holiday. Not only this, but it wasn’t ready upon our arrival (stone cold because they weren’t expecting us until the following day, despite us being on time for our booking) and wasn’t ready until the afternoon of day 2. Then, to make things worse, it wasn’t maintained and began to smell foisty mid week. The owner came and drained and refilled the tub to be on the safe side, but that meant it was out of action for another day of our holiday. It was a real shame because it overshadowed what could otherwise have been a great stay. we payed almost £3000, and for that amount of money I expected a better level of service. Personally, if being in the hot tub is one of your favourite things to do on your break I wouldn’t book this property.

There were just a couple of things, firstly there really needs to be a folder in the property with instructions for all the appliances, including detailed instructions for the recycling and rubbish collection, a couple of clothes airers for a property that size would be very useful too. The perfect setting for a family get together with plenty of space for everyone, you don't feel like you are on top of each other at all. The property is within walking distance down to the beach where there is a lovely pub and the boathouse cafe/bar however there are no pavements so you need to be aware of traffic. If you are limited with transport, there is a bus stop located very near the property where you can get into Bangor very easily. The only thing that let the property down is that there was no welcome book, giving property and local information, a visitors book would also be nice to hear about local places that people have been to that may have been worth a visit. Most of the property was clean, however there were signs that the property had not been thoroughly gone over as there were cobwebs in the downstairs toilet and unfortunately previous guests had not properly washed up so putting your hand in a greasy tray was not the nicest. On saying this it did not detract from a wonderful break for my husbands 40th birthday and we would definitely look to book this property again.

  • "The house was absolutely beautiful and was perfect for all the family."

There was plenty of space and the grounds were also great. We had to contact the owner Sarah as there was a problem with the fridge. She came out within half an hour and was very helpful. I would certainly be staying here again.

  • "A group of us have been going away for the last 11 years and this has to be the best house we have ever stayed in."

Firstly the owner was so helpful and kind. The house is also a really good size and the both the kitchen and the sitting room were very social able areas. 13 of us managed to sit around the kitchen table to play games, eat and generally chitchat. Plenty of cupboard space, toilets, bathrooms, sofas, cooking areas, chairs and the TV in the lounge was huge (big hit with the kids). Also made good use of the hot tub. The surrounding area is beautiful and we would all recommend Anglesey. I would definitely recommend this property and would also pay a visit to the lovely Boat House restaurant just down the road.

  • "Gorgeous property."

Brilliant location by a lovely beach. Would 100% recommend. Only issue I had was contacting home owner. Tried various ways but got no reply. I'm sure was just an issue with contact details provided. Otherwise perfect get away.

  • "We booked this cottage for a family celebration for my husband's 60th birthday."

It was the perfect choice of cottage. So much space for everyone. We loved the massive lounge with all the comfy sofas and super large tv. We had a fantastic family meal round the large table in the kitchen/dining area. 10 of us went and we never felt cramped as there were so many different spaces to use. We loved the hot tub and sitting in front of the chimenea late in the evening, drinking wine and watching the stars. The cottage is beautifully furnished and equipped. The beds are all extremely comfortable with lovely bedding. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. The house is lovely and warm at all times with a constant supply of hot water. Red Wharf Bay is a lovely area and it only takes about 10 minutes to walk down to the Bay where there are 2 lovely pub restaurants. Thank you for a lovely, memorable holiday.

  • "Place had the wow factor, which impressed all of our party."

Peaceful location and ideal for walking to local pub and restaurant and for driving to various attractions. Great local beaches and fine weather, so no complaints. Only one minor criticism - instructions for appliances and hot tub not in an easy to find location on arrival. Would be better if owner was to put together a welcome file with all relevant paperwork. Also details of recycling bins and collection days.

  • "Really enjoyed the holiday but the description short stroll to Red Wharf was a bit misleading as we had 4 children in the group including a baby and toddler and there was no way we could have strolled with the 2 youngest as the road was too dangerous and the path that we found was unsuitable for buggies."

  • "Lovely large house, the pictures on the web site do not do them justice, would recommend for large families, the beach is down a long hill so its a steep walk back up, otherwise you have to walk on the road that is quite narrow and busy with cars coming from the beach, you can take your car down to the beach otherwise."
