Cleifiog Cottages

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just one mile from the small village of Valley on the North West coast of Anglesey, Cleifiog Cottages comprise the imaginative restoration of three beautiful cottages, set within a private gated entrance in the grounds of a 16th century country house, in a rural setting but also close enough to a wide range of local amenities. Each cottage has been lovingly and individually styled with high quality furnishings to create its own distinctive charm, and all three include their own private patio where guests can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of their beautiful surroundings. A leisurely fifteen minute stroll will take you to the centre of Valley which is well serviced with a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists alike, with the Anglesey Coastal Path being just a short walk from the cottages which offers plenty of scenic walks, as well as numerous cycle routes including the North Wales Coastal Route which runs from Holyhead to Chester. The popular beach resorts of Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn and Rhosneigr are easily reached and feature award-winning sandy beaches with plenty of opportunities to try your hand at some of the many watersports on offer. Other nearby attractions include the South Stack Lighthouse with its RSPB Reserve, and the port of Holyhead with a good selection of amenities is only three miles away. Formerly the old hen house this charming ground floor characterful cottage has been sensitively converted and beautifully furnished throughout, featuring exposed beams, slate flagged floors and a luxurious feel that will have you not wanting to leave.

The modern and bright, well-equipped kitchen includes a small dining area, perfect for a romantic meal before retiring to the gorgeous conservatory-style sitting room which offers wonderful views towards Holyhead Mountain.

The stunning bedroom boasts a beautiful super king-size double bed, which will ensure you have a good night’s sleep before heading of for the next day’s adventures.

Outside, there is an enclosed lawned garden with a small patio and furniture where you can relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside.

The village boasts a variety of shops and restaurants, two hotels and a café, and is only four miles from the renowned beach resort of Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn. Here you will find a beautiful sweep of grassy coastline with rocky coves and award-winning sandy beaches, as well as a choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. Other nearby attractions include the South Stack Lighthouse with its RSPB Reserve, the port of Holyhead, with its regular ferry links with Dublin in Ireland, and easy access to the coast road around Anglesey with delightful beaches to visit and a host of other attractions to please the most discerning of visitors.
