Location: Caergeiliog, Isle Of Anglesey

Trearddur Bay 5 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Caergeiliog is situated close to the wonderfully scenic west coastline on the Isle of Anglesey, between Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr, both of which are very popular seaside villages. The area is truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag and Green Coast Award). Watersports, bathing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and plane spotting at RAF Valley are the main activities in the summer months, and golfers will enjoy two excellent 18 hole links golf courses. It's a great place for nature lovers, with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and at Valley Lakes, as well as lots of rock pools and scenic cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in nearby Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay, plus Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the fast ferry. A great location with plenty to see and do!

The Property

This detached cottage is located next to the owners’ home, set in 14 acres of pastureland, with views across a field to a secluded 25 acre RSPB maintained lake, Llyn Dinam. Located down a long gated driveway, this cosy, well-presented cottage is set on the edge of the village of Caergeiliog, on the gorgeous Isle of Anglesey and provides two delightful bedrooms and an open plan living area with sitting area, dining area and a fully fitted kitchen. The privately enclosed garden offers a secluded area to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area, where you can admire the country views to the lake, and with the added bonus of a wonderful hot tub, seating 4 people, you can relax and star gaze in a lovely rural setting. The local Cymyran Beach can be accessed within a two mile drive or walk from this Caergeiliog cottage, plus the popular coastal village of Rhosneigr is nearby, from where you can look around the shops or have a drink in one of the coffee shops. Cymyran offers excellent sea fishing and is regarded by many locals as one of the most beautiful beaches on Anglesey, where you will find 1.5 miles of unspoilt sandy beaches. Previous visitors' comments about Cefn Farm Cottage:

My friend and I arrived at Cefn Farm Cottage with the wind and rain battering all around us. The cottage was warm and welcoming after a long journey. The hot tub in the garden was definitely one of our highlights! Beautiful part of the country. Will go back. Beautiful beaches and plenty to do and see. Pili Palace (butterfly centre) was a great afternoon out. Well worth a visit.
