The Property

Fort William 10 miles. An impressive, generously-proportioned house with indoor heated swimming pool, privately located in a pretty woodland setting in Ardgour in the fabulous West Highlands. Very well-appointed throughout, with lots of extras, this bright and spacious Highland holiday home is ideal for a large family or group of friends who will appreciate the beauty of the Ardnamurchan area and also enjoy the facilities available in their lovely self-catering property. With the accommodation laid out over two floors, the four big bedrooms on the upper floor of this Highland self-catering cottage all benefit from their own en-suite facilities. The kitchen in this Highland holiday home is very well equipped, and conveniently situated next door to the large dining area, with its lovely views of the garden. The impressive sitting room in this Highland self-catering cottage is a most sociable space, and has been cleverly laid out to allow for different groups of people sitting in various areas of the room, perhaps some wishing to chat whilst other watch TV. Guests will love the games room with its pool and football table, and if that is not enough then a dip in your own indoor heated swimming pool and some time in the sauna will certainly relax you! Outside your Highland holiday home is a pretty natural woodland garden with mature trees and open spaces. Ardgour is the first village you reach when visiting the Ardnamurchan area, but what a wonderful starting point to explore the fabulous west coast and its many pretty beaches. Follow the winding road westwards along by the water and perhaps take the ferry across to the pretty Isle of Mull. In the other direction, the vibrant town of Fort William has much to offer, with ski slopes close by for some winter activity. This area is fabulous, and this Highland self-catering cottage will ensure a wonderful holiday for all ages.

Four bedrooms with en-suite bath, shower over, basin, bidet and WC: 2 x double, 2 x twin with pull-out bed (children under 12 only). Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Kitchen. Sitting room with dining area and open fire. Games room with pool table, table football and sofa bed. Indoor heated swimming pool and 10 person sauna.

Lawned woodland garden with furniture and BBQ. Free fishing available for brown and sea trout on 2 Lochans, using any legal means and within legal season for wild brown trout only. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 1 mile. Coast 10 mins walk. Note: Access road has uneven surface, please drive slowly. Note: 48 hours notice required to heat swimming pool so may not be immediately available for last minute bookings. Owner can confirm at time of booking.

The main town in the Western Highlands, Fort William lies on the banks of Loch Linnhe, and offers a wide variety of shops, and pubs which serve a fine selection of meals. The area boasts spectacular scenery and a plethora of walking opportunities, from gentle ambles to more strenuous expeditions, and of course, Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis. Ski enthusiasts will also enjoy the Nevis Range, a ski resort with a mountain gondola, along with a World Cup mountain biking courselocated just four miles from Fort William.
