Salen is the ideal base for exploring this inner Hebridean island, whose highlights include the dramatic scenery of the Gribun rocks on the west coast, the delightful expanse of Calgary Bay and its beach and, of course, Tobermory, most recently used as the setting for the popular BBC children's series 'Balamory'.
