Spend a day or two in the nearby university city of Cambridge, viewing its stunning architectural university buildings, museums and gardens, enjoying its many independent shops, cafés and restaurants, or taking a leisurely punt along the river. Visit Duxford Imperial War Museum which is just a short drive away, or enjoy a day at the races in Newmarket, taking in a visit to the Horseracing Museum. There are several country houses and gardens to visit locally, including Anglesey Abbey, Audley End and Wimpole Hall. The cottage was warm, cosy, homely and its location was perfect. There was a lovely stroll into the village and to the pub and shops. Convenient for Cambridge and Stansted Airport. Our family visiting from Italy thought it was a dream home. It was safe and secure for a one year old to crawl about.

The cottage was really warm and comfortable and the kitchen was particularly well equipped for a holiday cottage. There was more than ample seating in the sitting room and dining room and the lighting everywhere was also better than normal for a holiday cottage. We also loved the location with a dog walk on the doorstep but easy access to Cambridge. The village facilities meant we could also buy everything we needed if we didn't want to go further. It was a perfect cottage to spend Christmas in and we would definitely return sometime.
