The quiet village of Bunratty, on the west coast of Ireland, is home to the famous Bunratty Castle. As Ireland's premier visitor attraction, the castle is the most complete and authentic medieval fortress in Ireland, and plays host to medieval banquets each evening. Surrounding the castle is the popular Folk Park, with its houses and cottages spread at the base of the massive walls, as the cottages and crofts of old would have been. Just a short drive away is Ireland's third largest city, Limerick. Discover its bars, playing traditional Irish music, enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants, or explore the fascinating Market Quarter, bustling streets with stalls selling everything from fresh produce to hand-made jewellery. A delightful, detached cottage, located on the outskirts of Bunratty, in County Clare. Comfortably furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen and two dining areas, this cottage is an ideal place to unwind after a busy day exploring. Relax in front of the cosy open fire, admire the garden fountain from the conservatory, or enjoy dining alfresco on your own private patio. Close to Bunratty Castle, Bunratty Folk Park, which hosts Medieval banquet dinners, and a short drive from Shannon Airport, Bunratty Cottage is ideally situated for touring this part of Ireland. With pubs and restaurants nearby, and the county town of Limerick only a short drive away, there is no shortage of things to do in and around Bunratty.
