A picturesque seaside village in south County Galway, Kinvara is located on the edge of the world renowned "Burren" on Galway Bay. The entrance into Kinvara is marked by Dunguaire Castle, where medieval banquets are still hosted, and the quaint harbour still holds working examples of 'Galway Hookers', the majestic sailing craft which used to sell their wares between Connemara & Kinvara. Home to numerous pubs, shops and eateries, with a renowned farmer’s market every Friday and hosting two festivals celebrating culture and heritage each year, there is no shortage of things to do here. The small city of Galway, affectionately known as the “city of festivals”, with its pretty alleyways and colourful nightlife is within easy reach, and only a little further is Burren National Park where animals and plant life are abundant, and there are numerous walking opportunities. A lovely, detached cottage surrounded by lush green countryside and situated on the owners’ working horse, sheep and cattle farm, 5 miles from Ballyvaghan in County Clare, and 8 miles from Kinvara in County Galway. Situated close to the Clare/Galway border, this Kinvara cottage is ideally located for exploring these two delightful counties. Inside, the property boasts a spacious kitchen, great for socialising, a bright, airy sitting room with a tiled floor and warming woodburner, and lovely, inviting bedrooms with wooden floors, comfy furnishings and en-suite facilities.
