Situated on the north side of the Shannon river, the village of Kilflynn is an ideal base for exploring Kerry. Nearby attractions include the Bog Village, and the old railway station in Abbeydorney. The popular seaside village of Ballybunion is an easy drive, and has two sandy beaches, separated by the ruins of a castle. Tralee, famous for its wealth of tourist attractions and lively social scene, offers a selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and bars. Dingle, with its lovely beaches and water sports facilities is 30 miles away, while Killarney National Park and the scenic Ring of Kerry are within easy reach. With good walking and many great golf courses in the area, and the stunning Blue Flag Banna Beach 6 miles away, this is a superb holiday location.
