Scarriff, in County Clare, is a large village located on the banks of Lough Derg. Situated near the shore of Scarriff Bay, one of the prettiest parts of Lough Derg, and surrounded by lakelands, Scarriff is renowned for its great angling resources. The East Clare Golf Course is a few miles away, while the East Clare Way, a designated walking route, is also nearby. The village of Killaloe is only 12 miles away, and provides great hill walking, boating, watersports and fishing. Lahinch is within easy driving distance, and provides great surfing, fantastic golf and a beautiful stretch of sandy beach to enjoy. A little further afield lie the Cliffs of Moher; one of Ireland's most visited tourist attractions, the Cliffs of Moher offer stunning coastal walks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and from the top they boast views out to the Aran Islands and Galway Bay. With plenty to keep everybody occupied within easy driving distance, Scarriff provides a great base for touring County Clare and the surrounding areas.

Scarriff 1 mile. This lovely spacious residence is located one mile outside the large village of Scarriff on the Mountshannon Road, on the shores of Lough Derg in County Clare. Inside this Scarriff cottage, the welcoming accommodation greets you, furnished and decorated in a rustic, traditional style to enhance the wonderful character features throughout. There are exposed beams, tiled floors and a spiral staircase, combined with a cosy Rayburn, to make this a real home-from-home. There are bedrooms on both the ground and first floors of this Scarriff cottage, making it ideal for the whole family. Outside, a relaxing raised decked area with swing seat provides fantastic views of Lough Derg. This Scarriff holiday home offers private access to the lough within just a three minute walk, making it an ideal base for fishing, hunting and boating. Boat hire is available by prior arrangement with the owner, so all you need for an angling holiday is available here. For lovers of coarse fishing, Scarriff River provides a great place for catching bream and roach whilst golfers will love the East Clare Golf Club, which is just a short drive away. This is a great base for a relaxed holiday with nature right on your doorstep.
