Situated between the towns of Kenmare and Waterville, and on the route of the Kerry Way, the village of Sneem provides shops, pubs and a number of cosy tea rooms. With rows of brightly coloured houses, and a lively atmosphere, it is no wonder Sneem is a popular stop for tourists and locals alike, and it is said to be impossible to complete a circuit of the famous Ring of Kerry without passing through Sneem, known as the 'Knot on the Ring of Kerry’. Parknasilla Hotel with its spa and golf course, and Derrynane Beach, are within easy reach, or try walking on the famous Macgillycuddy Reeks, the highest mountain range in Ireland, with notoriously rugged terrain to conquer, or make the short journey to Killarney National Park, where beauty abounds.
