Skibbereen is a lively market town in County Cork with the West Cork Arts Centre and Skibbereen Heritage Centre well worth visiting. The town has shops, restaurants and pubs, along with wonderful local produce, including seafood and meats, plus a weekly country and farmers' markets. Around Skibbereen are superb sandy beaches, rivers, lakes, hills and forests, which will make you fall in love with the area. Nearby is a brilliant 18-hole golf course, and indoor sports centre, which offers tennis, badminton and a gymnasium. Within driving distance are many towns and villages including Leap, Rosscarbery, Ballydehob, Baltimore, and the market town of Kinsale, plus dolphin and whale watching opportunities are also available. Skibbereen and the surrounding area have something for everyone.

The Property

Skibbereen 0.75 miles. This impressive, stone-built, detached cottage is situated on the owner's working beef farm, 0.75 miles from Skibbereen, in west County Cork. This Skibbereen cottage retains much character, both inside and out, with a stone front wall, and beams and an open fire in the open plan living area. This 'chocolate box' Skibbereen cottage is a delight to behold, and combined with the rural location, and countryside views, guests are sure to have a truly relaxing Skibbereen cottage holiday. Take the short walk into Skibbereen and sample some of the fresh local produce the town has to offer, walk or cycle through some of the county's beautiful and varying landscapes, or relax on the beach. Close by is Baltimore, popular for sailing or take a day trip to Lough Ine. There really is something for everyone from this Skibbereen cottage.
