Nestled between Ballinskelligs Bay and Lough Currane, sits Waterville, the premier coastal tourist centre on the Ring of Kerry. Surrounded by mountains and lakeland, Waterville also offers a fine sandy beach, two golf courses, one being a championship 18 hole course, and interesting archaeological remains. Enjoy walks along the wonderful Kerry Way or angling and fishing on one of the area’s many excellent rivers or lakes. Take a boat trip to the Skellig Rocks, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy fabulous vistas across the bay, coupled with seeing one of Europe’s best known and oldest monasteries. Other trips of note are Valentia Island or Dingle, or visit the bustling coastal town of Cahersiveen which is only 10 miles away. A great base from which to explore the south west coast, and famous Ring of Kerry.

Waterville 0.5 miles. An impressive detached house, in a small scattered hamlet, just half a mile from the delightful coastal resort of Waterville, in County Kerry. Bright, airy and spacious, this Waterville cottage makes a great base for touring the area. The sitting area boasts a warming open fire, great for curling up in front of with friends on chilly evenings, while the sun room, which doubles as a dining area, offers lovely views of the surrounding mountains and lake. This Waterville cottage benefits from being close to the amenities of the town, but is just far enough outside the town itself to relish the peace and tranquility. Just 5 minutes' drive from this Waterville cottage there are two golf courses available, including the world-renowned Waterville links course. For the fishing enthusiast there is great salmon and trout fishing available on your doorstep, while nearby are the Blue Flag beaches at Derrynane and Ballinskelligs, which offer a variety of watersports.
