Location: Kilcrohane, County Cork

Bantry 15 miles.

The lively and vibrant village of Kilcrohane is located south west of Durrus as you head towards the end of the Sheep's Head Peninsula, in County Cork. The village takes its name from the Church of St. Crohan founded in the 8th century. The crystal clear waters at the coast of Kilcrohane are exceptional, and provide a great place to swim and explore all of the hidden caves dotted about, while those who prefer to stay on land can enjoy the Sheep’s Head Way and traverse some of its 60 miles of trails. As well as fantastic land and sea scenery, Kilcrohane also has a wonderful traditional music scene, and plays host to the music festival Ceoil on the Coast each year, so no matter what you’re looking for on your Irish getaway, Kilcrohane has something for everyone!
