  • "On the website the property did not state it was next to a railway line."

There were trains at all times of the day and night and it was made worse because we could not sleep in the front bedroom of the house which also had the en suite because it smelt terrible of sweat and BO. I tried to get rid of it by buying Fabreeze and regularly spraying that but it didn't make a difference so we could hear the trains having to sleep in the back bedroom so that was a big problem not getting good night sleeps also the fridge had not been cleaned out properly and you could not open the freezer drawers because they were solid with so much ice.

Thank you for your feedback, however please note the following - The website clearly states “NOTE: TO THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY APPROX 80ft AWAY BEHIND A ROW OF TREES THERE IS A RAILWAY LINE”. Feedback from previous guests suggests that this is not normally a problem. We had to have the carpet in the main bedroom cleaned, and I suspect that what was you could smell. We have contacted the current guests who tell us they can’t smell anything. We will contact housekeeping regarding the fridge/freezer issues, but with inconsistent use the build up of ice is inevitable, and it is impractical to defrost the freezer during weekly changeovers. • "Tehidy is perfectly situated for touring around mid-Cornwall."

The Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lanhydrock were all very close. The holiday property is very clean and maintained to a high standard and it has a very light and airy feel. It was also very warm on slightly colder Spring days. The double glazing is excellent; we hardly noticed the trains running behind the property. It's very convenient having Tesco just a 5 min drive away. Parking is easy as Tehidy has a designated parking space for one car behind the property. We had a great week in Cornwall and would recommend this holiday property.

We are so pleased that you had a wonderful holiday in Cornwall. Thank you for your kind feedback and recommendation. Property Owner

  • "Property in a brilliant location and ideal for seeing the sights of Cornwall."

Lovely sea view. The accommodation has everything you need. Think the accommodation could do with a few things changing (very manly) bed linen and towels, well used. Carpets need a clean in the bedrooms. Unable to use back bedroom wardrobe full of items (tv, fan etc).Car parking bays need to be repainted and numbered so you can see your bay. Ideal place to stay though for location.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our apartment. Unfortunately we lose most of the sea views in the summer, when the trees are in full bloom. We have taken on board your comments and will address them in due course, although we are surprised about the carpets. One is very new and we paid to have the other cleaned last month. I will check with the cleaners. The car parking bay issue has been raised with the building maintenance company on several occasions, and they have assured us it will be addressed. Thank you very much for your feedback, it’s always welcome as we endeavour to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible. Property Owner

  • "The property exceeded expectations however it would be helpful if you could advise clients that they need to park in a specific bay (Number 6)."

The bay marking is not obvious or clear especially when wet or in the dark.

So pleased you were happy with the apartment. Sorry for any inconvenience with the parking bays. We will contact the building management company to request repainting and lighting. Property Owner

  • "Comfortable apartment, conveniently located, noise from railway not as issue."

Disappointed there were no recycling facilities, and that no one contacted us about clean towels and bedding halfway through our 2 week stay, there in no reduction for the second week, yet there was no cleaning or fresh linen done on the middle Saturday. Also feel that a 5 o’clock arrival is late, especially when we are advised that we need to arrive before 6 to get access to the key. An hours window when travelling from the other side of the country is not great.

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. It is our policy to offer guests that stay for 2 weeks the choice of a clean and laundry change mid stay. We will speak to housekeeping as to why this didn’t happen, but I’m sure if you had contacted them it would’ve been done for you. Also, they extended their changeover hours during Covid, and we will speak to them to see if this can now be changed. Our apologies for any inconvenience. Property Owner

The walk back is uphill but as previous guests have said it's not a problem. Lovely coastal walks in both directions from the harbour along the South West Coast path. Sea glimpse from the master bedroom which was unexpected. Well equipped property, private parking space and lovely to have the balcony for those light evenings.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at our apartment. The view is severely restricted by the the trees, but in the winter, when there are no leaves, the sea views are quite wonderful. Property Owner

It is ideal location for exploring the coastline. The apartment is great. It has everything you need. I wouldn't hesitate in booking again.

  • "The apartment was very clean & well equipped."

Very spacious especially as there was only 2 of us. On the downside the extractor fan in the en suite goes on for what felt like forever once the light is off & you’re trying to sleep. The mattress in that bedroom is very soft, not great for a person suffering back ache. Disappointed that you can’t get access until 5pm, (especially when previous occupancy had to vacate by 9am) after a very long journey it would have been lovely to get settled & the kettle on maybe around 2-3pm. I did message the caretaker who said she’d let me know if we could get in sooner but it wasn’t ready until 4.50pm. We had a lovely holiday & enjoyed our stay at Tehidy.

Only points to mention would be the bathrooms could do with a shelf for toiletries & it would have been nice to have some recycling facilities. The bedding in the bedroom with the ensuite was a little ill fitting & could do with some improvement.
