The property

Par 2 miles. This detached Cornish stone cottage has been completely renovated and stands in half an acre of lawned and wooded garden. It is set along a country lane on the outskirts of St. Blazey, two miles from Par with its large sandy beach and just one mile and an easy walk from the Eden Project. Set back from the road, this cottage near Par combines Cornish character with bright, modern furnishings. The sitting room and adjoining kitchen make an ideal sociable space for family holidays, and the addition of the woodburner in this Par cottage ensures that guests will be warm and cosy in every season. The extensive garden, with a lawn and separate patio area provides plenty of space for children's games or just relaxing and listening to the birds. Walkers can access The Saints Way, a coast to coast walk across Cornwall from Padstow to Fowey, which passes close to the cottage. There are some gorgeous beaches near this Par cottage, including Porthpean, Par Sands and Readymoney, all within a short drive. Garden lovers are spoilt for choice at this Par cottage, with The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and Pinetum Park all close at hand. There are numerous family attractions near St. Blazey including Wingz bird sanctuary, St Austell Brewery and Charlestown Shipwreck Centre. Come and stay in a unique cottage near Par, in peaceful surroundings but close to a host of activities.

About the location


Fowey 4 miles; Charlestown 4 miles; St. Austell 5 miles.

Par village is located on the South Cornwall coast offering a sandy family and dog-friendly beach (dogs allowed all year round) on St. Austell Bay. The village is only 2.5 miles away from the internationally renowned Eden Project, which can be reached on foot through the leafy green Luxulyan Valley. Between Par and the picturesque harbour of Fowey, is the Gribbin Peninsula, which has magnificent views of the surrounding coastline and makes for an excellent walk. Close to Par are many places connected to the author Daphne du Maurier, including the small cove at Polkerris which boasts the Rashleigh Arms and which takes its name from a local landowner whose house was frequented by the author. There are many attractions in the area including the China Clay Country Park, Charlestown Shipwreck Museum and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. A fabulous location to explore the rich heritage and magnificent coastline of South Cornwall.
