The property

A lovely holiday cottage situated in a residential area at the top of Boscastle, a village on the North Cornwall coast. This Boscastle cottage is tastefully furnished with a nautical theme throughout and provides a bright, cheerful holiday home for groups and families to enjoy a seaside getaway. Downstairs in this Boscastle cottage there is a comfortable sitting room, a well-equipped fitted kitchen with dining area overlooking the garden and a cloakroom. Upstairs there is a king-size double bedroom, a twin room and small single. The rear garden of this Boscastle cottage is enclosed and provides a safe place to relax, ideal for a BBQ. The pretty harbour village of Boscastle is a 15 minute downhill walk from the cottage, where there are gift shops, cafes and pubs, and where visitors can stroll down past the whitewashed thatched cottages to the harbour, or venture to The Lookout, a fabulous vantage point to view the beautiful rugged coastline. There are numerous walks along the South West coastal path in the area around Boscastle, along which are several pretty coves including Trebarwith Strand, Crackington Haven and Bossiney. At low tide these reveal sandy beaches with rock pools where it is easy to while away a day with beach activities. A lovely Boscastle holiday cottage in a pretty little Cornish harbour village.

Guest Reviews

    • “Such a beautiful place to stay, a home from home.”

    Mr Lincoln, Boston, August 2015

    • “Hilly View had everything we needed & was spotlessly clean. Even equipped with board games, books & DVDs should you have a rainy day! The owners were very accommodating. Situated in a quiet residential area the house was a perfect base to visit all of the local attractions the area has to offer. Tintagel Castle is a must see for the spectacular views it offers. St Nectans Waterfall is a stunning little gem we found just up the road from the house. Be prepared for lots of walking (no pushchair access so we used a baby carrier lots around here). I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation! The only downside is the poor phone signal around the area, but might actually be a plus for others. This certainly didn't spoil the holiday though.”

Miss Edens, Melton Mowbray, June 2015

    • “It is a delightful house in a lovely setting. We would highly recommend this.”

    Mr Collinge, Hailsham, June 2015

    • “The area is very attractive and gave us a very quiet and relaxing "away from it all" holiday. The accommodation was in a very quiet location although situated in a residential area. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm.”

    Mr Barber, Gloucester, April 2015

    • “Lovely house in a lovely area, centrally located. Lovely farm shop nearby, fab food. Brilliant holiday!!!”

    Mrs Marks, Aldershot, September 2014

    • “The accommodation was of high quality.”

    Mr Cantwell, Bromley, August 2014

    • “Quiet location, comfortable house, beautiful countryside and good food - what more could you want? We had a great week.”

    Mr Smith, Borehamwood, July 2014

    • “Hilly View was right in the middle of everything so it made it easy to explore all along the coastline. The house was perfect in every detail.”

    Mr Fry, Bridgend, June 2014

    • “Really loved the house, it was bright and comfortable with everything we could possibly need.”

    Mr Parkinson, Wigan, May 2014

About the location

Tintagel 4 miles; Camelford 6 miles.

A perfect Cornish coastal village, the road through Boscastle runs down to the small harbour at the bottom of the hill. The quaint village shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, make this an ever popular visitor destination. Spectacular cliff tops, rocky coves, wild surf, open fields and rich wildlife characterise this beautiful area. The coastal footpath passes through some of Britain’s most rugged and spectacular coastal scenery. The sandy beaches of Bossiney, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are all within 5 miles and the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath are within easy driving distance. Close at hand lie the delights of Tintagel, swathed in the legends of King Arthur, several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
