  • "Fantastic home from home having everything you need for a relaxing holiday."

Spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen. Loads of very hot water for baths after hours of walking the coast path. Comfortable firm mattress on the double bed so well rested each night. Warm and cosy accommodation in very well tended grounds. Dedicated parking space a few feet from the house. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to return in the future.

Great attention to detail and some nice touches like ample biscuits, tea and coffee plus milk in the fridge. Very homely decor…we could easily live there! Very clean throughout. Ample hot water. Excellent power shower in bathroom. The surrounding are very well managed and relaxing. Nice walks from the resort. 30 minutes to Maenporth beach. Would highly recommend.

The park itself is lovely and the gardens are immaculate. It was very quiet when we stayed and it was lovely listening to the birds and the brook. The house itself is abit dated and tired but still amazing value for money and the bed was extremely comfortable! It was clean and comfortable and we’re already thinking about coming back.

The situation is so quiet. The kitchen was the best equipped we have ever met. The bunch of flowers was a nice touch. Personally we prefer foam mattresses to springs. We do not like Febreze air fragrances as they are a form of pollution and give some people asthma. The kitchen hot tap washer need replacing because it drips even after turning it off quite hard.

    Ps the cookies were lovely

We were sorry to hear you were unable to activate the wifi, we do wish you had contacted us during your stay as this has been checked since your departure and we can confirm is working just fine! You're right that the small cloakroom downstairs does not have a heater, however we do provide a portable oil radiator which could easily have been moved to this room if needed. We are not aware of any problems with the window in the small bedroom but will most certainly have it checked. We are pleased you enjoyed the cookies! Property Owner

The only thing to suggest would be to make the location of the key safe clearer. There is a note to say it is at the front of the property; however, when you turn up and park you expect the part of the house that you can see to be the front. Just a slight confusion but soon resolved.

Especially the kitchen utensils etc. Very cosy lounge area and felt very much at home watching the European Football Semis. Excellent shower. All round we had a good week. The only negative point is not really anyone’s fault but our own. We would have preferred a cottage in a village with a local pub and shop. There’s no way we would contemplate having a few pints before we took to the narrow country lanes. Anyway, as I said, that was no ones “fault” but our own

  • "The picture on the website gave the impression that the cottage was in a remote place and not in a leisure village."

So was disappointed to find it surrounded by other cottages. The cottage itself was comfortable but cold the heater was not blowing out warm air so we spent three nights and mornings huddled around the oil heater, once we made contact with the right department which was able to help us , it was all sorted out in a day. I don't think the heater was checked before we moved in. On the whole we did enjoy our stay and found the area very beautiful with lots of interesting places to visit. It is well worth another stay in the future.

  • "Two Hoots was a great location on this holiday complex."

Timberframe construction does unfortunately transmit noise from adjacent properties when neighbours are noisey. Communal waste bins overflowing before the week was out. Property okay but some appliances a little dated or worn out. Cooker hob took ages to warm up, CD Player broken, digital radio didn't have a signal, TV remotes especially bedroom worked intermittently, bathroom towel rail not secured to wall properly. Apart from this we did have a good holiday but would have been excellent if the above had been addressed.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Two Hoots and we appreciate your feedback. The points you have raised have been investigated in turn. This property is well insulated and only attached on one side by a bungalow (taking a maximum of 4 persons). Additional refuse on the Pendra Loweth estate may have been generated by the increase in home cooking due to Covid-19 and this has been noted. The CD player will be replaced - thank you for bringing this to our attention. The cooker hob is in perfect working order. You are correct: there is no digital signal in the valley. However, the radio does work on FM and there is Superfast Fibre Broadband so you can listen to your favourite radio station online, if required. The TV remotes are working and new batteries have been fitted recently. The bathroom towel rail is correctly fitted. If you pull it really hard it will 'come out of the slots' but is easily pushed back in. This is for cleaning and decorating purposes. We would have been pleased to help you with these concerns had you contacted us during your stay. Property Owner

The only downside to our stay and these are only small criticisms is the light pull in the downstairs toilet is too short, luckily my husband is tall and could reach it, and number 3 and 4 and the ok button do not work on the tv remote control. We would definitely stay there again .

The property

Set within the beautiful gardens at Pendra Loweth holiday village, this two bedroom semi detached holiday home is just a short drive from buzzing Falmouth.

With a plunge pool, gym, tennis courts and children's play area, this resort offers families a great value option from which to explore the Falmouth and Helford areas and beyond.

On the ground floor is an open plan living room and kitchen with dining space as well as a handy cloakroom.

The back door out leads to a patio space adjacent to the very well kept shared gardens.

Upstairs you will find two bedrooms and a family bathroom, with one bedroom being a single.

The resort offers an extensive area of manicured gardens interrupted by a pleasant stream.

Guests are welcome to use the shared space and children love to paddle or play around the stream.

Around 15-20 mins walk from the resort along a footpath, you will find yourself at one of Falmouth's best beaches: Maenporth.

Offering a beach cafe, kayak and paddle board hire and a wonderful restaurant overlooking the sand and sea, Maenporth is a firm favourite with families in Falmouth.

There is also a safe walking route from Pendra Loweth to Swanpool beach (around 15 - 20 mins).

Falmouth has earned a reputation of a good year round destination with plenty of attractions for all tastes.

Whether you want to paddle the coast and venture to the pretty Roseland peninsula or you drive into the Helford region of Cornwall with its subtropical gardens and magical creeks, there is certainly no shortage of things to do here.
