  • "Sofa bed needs matress replaced."

Baking tray don't fit in the oven. Overall its a great stay as your so close to bude and all of north devon and the swimming pool is a massive selling point although alot of rust on the radiators and some of the tiles nearby them.

  • "The property was much smaller than we had expected, in particular the open plan area."

Bedrooms were comfortable. Under counter fridge just not adequate for family of 5 staying a week. Space between cooker & cupboards needs a good clean. Garden area fantastic, communal garden brilliant for kids to play, run around. Shame outdoor furniture hasn't been maintained, looked old & shabby, nothing a lick of paint wouldn't improve. Pool great addition, kids loved it however rusted radiators, stained pool cover & general appearance of pool area made it appear very unclean. Despite all above, kids had a terrific week, met very nice family in adjoining accommodation.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at The Cottage there was a double room twin room and if more than four a bed settee in the lounge."

There was ample space for parking. Thank you Chris, Theresa and Nanny. We really enjoyed the welcoming gift of bubbly wine on our arrival. It was very peaceful area to stay in with plenty of space outside for our granddaughter to run around and play games. It was fantastic having the pool which was a good size to swim and play in and great that we could go in it whenever we wanted this was brilliant for us. Bude is about twenty minute drive away .Black Rock Beach near Bude is excellent to travel to especially if you have a dog , great for body boarding with children, good cafe and beach shop and lovely clean toilets. We would love to return sometime for another stay.

  • "Thank you for a lovely Autumn break at The Cottage."

Teresa and Chris, you have been extremely welcoming. The cottage itself lays in beautiful surroundings. There's plenty of space to explore. This was essential for our labradors and two children, aged 8 and 11. All the essentials were found in the cottage and the owners even offered to loan us some jigsaws for those rainy days. The swimming pool was a real bonus with our children learning to swim. Upon arrival we found tea, coffee and milk available, much needed after a long journey! (Plus a refreshing bottle of bubbly- perfect!) The family gave us space throughout our break to settle but were available to offer information about the surroundings. They said a friendly hello to our dogs and made them feel welcome too! My family highly recommend Fingle bridge for a place to explore with dogs and children, which is a little bit of a drive, but worth it! A shorter drive away is Bude, with dog friendly beaches to explore and enjoy. We visited on a rainy October day but it was still worth a visit! Thank you so much, we will be recommending you to anyone who wishes to stay in Devon/ Cornwall.

  • "Nothing wrong with the cottage."

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Swimmimg pool was a bonus. your systems need however to be more adept at processing changes. The owners of the 'stables' had to book us into the adjacent 'cottage' as the previous occupant's had not vacated the 'stables'. Your system generated an e-mail/text telling me that my holiday had not been paid for and the booking would be cancelled within a short time scale. as we were on route, this prompted me to pay again as i had no way of checking. you then took a week to credit me back the second payment. Not a great start to a holiday.

The swimming pool could do with a grab rail at the deep end. We have no dogs now but brilliant place for a couple of dogs to stay. Would I recommend YES.

It was very comfortable, clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Chris and Teresa were so helpful, friendly and welcoming which went towards our holiday being so relaxed. There was milk in the fridge, along with a bottle of 'bubbles' too, plus tea and coffee all ensuring we were suitably refreshed on arrival, which was so thoughtful and generous.
