  • "What a disappointment."

This property is in much need of a deep clean and maintenance. Not at all how it is pictured (as new). You can’t charge so much money per week and not maintain the high standard these lodges are usually kept at. The sofas were in an urgent need of cleaning, certainly not somewhere we could have sat and relaxed. There was water damage from the bathroom onto the flooring in the hallway. There was much more. We were not happy and so disappointed with this property.

  • "In general we loved the property, location and overall peaceful essence of the site."

We had a great holiday. The only issues we had were there were quite a few cobwebs on arrival and areas that hadn't been fully cleaned, like the upper windows. Some of the blinds were broken and the sofa looked like it needed a really good clean or just replacing. The main living area was like a sauna all week and could really do with either air con or a ceiling fan at bare minimum. However It was mostly things that we could live with and didn't spoil our time. The bed were very comfy, view and hot tub were amazing and cleaned daily, kitchen well stocked. I just think those little details would have made it a 5 star holiday instead of 4

Thank you for leaving us your thoughts after your stay at 6 Horizon View Sarah, we really do appreciate your time. I am so sorry that you found a few issues with your accommodation, I have passed your comments to the relevant teams to rectify these problems and I can only apologise that these issues were not dealt with prior to your stay. Improvements are being made to our lodges all the time, but sadly this does take time. We do have fans that we can provide to guests when the weather is warm, so I am very sorry that one of these was not offered to you. I am so happy to hear that despite the issues that you encountered you had a lovely time and enjoyed being in Cornwall. Hopefully you will be back to stay with us again in the very near future. • "Very comfortable and general high standard, however the little things slightly let it down."

There were no small sharp knives and the large sharp knives were blunt & one had a broken handle. We are asked to keep the property clean, however there is no kitchen cleaner provided to allow us to do this and the J cloth supplied is not adequate, the grill in the oven was left very greasy. It would be helpful to have cling film, kitchen roll & more bin liners. I cannot remember staying at a self catering property where these general items have not been provided, so this this why we have scored the facilities lower. Other than these small details, we were very happy with the property and would definitely stay there again. By the way, I couldn’t get the TV to work in the main bedroom, the batteries in the remote may be dead but I was unable to change them as I couldn’t open the back of the remote.

  • "Great facilities all provided."

Hot tub did not work till repaired on Monday morning so we could not enjoy it for 3 days! Sofas stained and musty. En-suite shower pressure was very low. Beds were very comfortable and great addition of AC to rooms as we had a heatwave during our stay! Dining/living area does get quite warm so fans recommended as no AC in that area. Some kitchen utensils and trays need replacement as were rusty. Nice welcome pack with tea and coffee and biscuits and fresh milk pint to get us started!

  • "There was a crack in the outer fridge door and cracks inside the fridge which were pointed out to the owners on our last visit in April."

Not sure if the hot tub was working properly as there was a lack of bubbles but it was checked whilst we were there. Beautiful location overlooking the fields. Overall a lovely stay and we will definitely return for a fourth time.

  • "This cottage is such a lovely place to relax and has the potential to be outstanding if a few maintenance issues are addressed."

Upon arrival to the cottage, we noticed that a number of the bedroom blinds do not work and therefore this effects the level of privacy for occupants. The uplifting bathroom flooring could also become a safety issue if they are tripped on. Water damp can be seen affecting the outer framework of the bathroom doors. The top shelf in the fridge was broken, moderating the temperature in the main bedroom's ensuite was difficult and the door to the first bedroom doesn't shut properly. We enjoyed our stay but hope that the above issues are addressed so the cottage becomes one of the best places to stay.
