A small hamlet just 4 miles from the maritime town and harbour of Falmouth. The surrounding countryside offers rolling fields, country lanes and misty, atmospheric creeks that wind their way inland from the sea through deep, wooded valleys. The area is perfect for lovers of breathtaking countryside, for messing about in boats and for long country walks. Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (3rd largest in the world), winding streets and beaches will keep you occupied for hours. Its old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, Pendennis Castle and the stunning new National Maritime Museum complete the picture. Across the harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).

Previous visitors' comments about The Large Barn:
The people looking after the property were always very helpful, giving us lots of tips on places to go. Very spacious accommodation, well presented and very clean.
Mrs Sayers, Nottingham, August 2011
Really comfortable stay, loved the space we had and it felt very safe for young children.
Miss Frost, London, July 2011
Superb facilities, quiet location but still close to the many resorts we wanted to visit. The caretaker made us feel very welcome, and gave us great ideas on places to visit. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting Cornwall, the brochure really does not do the property justice.
Mr Sanderson, Letchworth Garden City, June 2011
Fantastic property, with great facilities, the brochure did not do it full justice. The caretaker was extremely friendly and advised of places to go and things to do in the area. Quiet location, but still close enough to the resorts and attractions we wished to visit. Would recommend this property to anyone looking to holiday in Cornwall.
