  • "The property was lovely but after paying a lot of money we thought the lodge was not all ours, toilet roll not in all toilets , beds not made in all rooms so we felt confined like we did not have full use of the property."

We also had to buy toilet rolls and kitchen roll as we ran out. Tv was too high in lounge , kitchen fridge wobbles as not a good integrated fit, shower tray in pink bedroom leaked. Only one bath towel per person, we had to mop bathroom floor with one of them Lady who manages the properties was charming.

  • "We recently stayed in the Hazel Lodge in Truro and was very pleased we did."

The lodge was situated in a quite area with around 10 lodges. There was quite a distance between each lodge so consequently we weren't disturbed by any noise from the others. We were a party of 6 and the lodge was very spacious for us. It was clean and had everything you would need including washer tumble dryer dishwasher fridge freezer wine cabinet iron and ironing board hairdryer microwave. Michelle was very helpful and friendly there was even a welcome pack of tea bags jam and biscuits there was also a bottle of milk in the fridge. Would highly recommend.

  • "Lovely lodge in a quiet rural location but close to Truro for shops and restaurants etc."

Well equipped and spotlessly clean but note that if you stay here you need to bring everything bar toilet paper and towels. Most places we have stayed provided a couple of courtesy dishwasher tablets, washing machine detergent capsules, soap for bathrooms and there is often cling film/foil in a kitchen drawer. None of these are supplied at this property. Not necessarily a criticism but something to be aware of if you don't want to visit a shop immediately. Overall had a lovely break here and would love to stay again.

  • "My family and I were all very impressed with Hazel lodge - it genuinely lived up to the description and pictures online."

It suited our family perfectly - 2 adults and 2 older teens, because we all had lovely big bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of sofa space. Many holiday lets have bunk beds or tiny rooms which are fine for small kids but not so good for older families. The location was just right - 5 or so minutes drive from Truro but set in a peaceful country estate. The only suggestion I would make is to leave hand soap in the bathrooms and kitchen. The mattresses were firm and there were plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes (again, not all lets supply hangers or even wardrobes). I would happily recommended staying here.

  • "My daughter uses a wheelchair so required accessible accommodation including a ‘roll in shower’."

This property was fully accessible for my daughter and she took ‘bed raisers’ so that she could use her own hoist. Being open plan, the property worked really well for her access. Being 3 bedroomed, with king beds that could be split into two single beds in all rooms, also worked well for her support team. Hazel was a in a good location for my daughter to visit the various attractions. Michelle was very welcoming and helped with any of their needs. The place was a little tricky to at first find but apart from that my daughter really enjoyed her stay and is planning to return. Thank you so much Michelle

  • "We had a lovely time and the lodge was brilliant, very clean and had all the equipment we needed."

Would definitely stay there again. Only issue was it was very hot in the lodge in the evening and during the night but this did not spoil our holiday and would highly recommend the lodge to our friends.

  • "The lodge was excellent - very modern and spacious and nicely fitted out."

The grounds were also very nice too and well kept so provided a perfect base for a peaceful stay with plenty of space to enjoy on your doorstep. There wasn't much in the immediate vicinity to walk to in terms of pubs, shops, etc but Truro City Centre was just 5-10 mins drive away where you could also jump on the train to visit the wider region for nice days out. Would definitely recommend to people and would certainly come back again.

  • "The Lodge was clean and tidy and very spacious with all that we needed for comfortable stay."

Michele gave us details of the surrounding pubs in the area serving food, so we were able to google, book a table and get the Sat Nav directions. The only downside was that there were no instructions on how to use the equipment. I did manage to figure out all of the equipment with the exception of the electric hob, so we had to improvise with our cooking. Also there is usually a book of things to do, sights to see in the area, bur there was none of these. However, these were minor things, but we can confirm that we had a most enjoyable week in the lodge and would recommend this lodge to friends and family. If we decided to visit Cornwall again in the future we would not hesitate to book a lodge on this sight again.

  • "On the whole we were happy with the lodge."

The manageress who met us was very friendly and welcoming. The lodge was spacious, modern and was equipped with most things that you need on a holiday. As far as the kitchen equipment was concerned, there was more than in most rented cottages. The environment was very quiet and rural; and yet it was easy to get into Truro and it's facilities. For us the main disadvantages were that there were no instructions for the electrical appliances. We did struggle with some of it. There was also no tourist info about the sights, restaurants, supermarkets etc. This could have been because of the pandemic, but the information could easily have been put into a very basic web-site. We also found the sofas very uncomfortable. They looked great, but gave us both very bad back ache.

  • "The accommodation was a very high standard."

The lodge was first class and the setting perfect. Situated very close to Truro which is a great base for accessing many of Cornwall’s beeches, towns and tourist attractions. Host Michelle was very welcoming.
